We came up with Moxey, Delaney and Jedinak. Clearly inferior talented, but gosh they were fighters. Wished the bunch of today could show the same attributes.

If Eddie Howe is supposed to be so good, why wasnt he offered the Chelsea job or even in the running? He has been out of a job apart from a bit punditary for 6 months, no great demand for his services. Do you honestly think Chelsea will offer a young English manager a job??.. The only reason Lampard got it was due to his legendary status at the club. 6 months out of football is hardly a long time.. When I read some of the posts on here I struggle to understand why some people seem to think that we should just be grateful to have Roy and that we can't do any better.

I do feel many supporters have deemed that Mr Hodgson has done a creditable job in the circumstances, keeping us in the PL for 3 seasons on a limited spend and at present there is some 'Daylight' between our position and those in the relegation zone.

And I agree Willo the job he has done has been very creditable. It's the end of the road for Roy.. The players don't appear to want to play for him anymore and you have to question how much more can a 74 year old offer in building for the future. The club desperately needs rebuilding. Roy was brought in to plug the gaps... But if you keep on painting over the cracks they will just keep showing through. I suppose people have to ask themselves can they honestly see Roy turning things around and rejuvenating and revitalising this squad?? This is our 8th Premiership season in a row. So.e people may be happy with 17th every season. I'm not.

I've always been grateful for Roy and what he's done. I think after Sir Steve, I will look back and see him as our second best manager in my time supporting Palace from the early 70's. He has done a great job with limited resources after Pardew and BFS spunked relative fortunes on players. However, over the last season and a half, the football has been dire for much of the time. Virtually half the squad needs replacing and it would seem the right time to bring in a new manager and a philosophy of playing a more interesting style of football. After 8 seasons we are still surrender possession and some times can't string 4 passes together. It's become a awful watch. For me it's become time for a reset, whether that means relegation or not. Time to try and at least entertain the fans. How long do we want to be keep just surviving serving up anti-football. We will be relegated eventually anyway.

Have to say that pretty much mirrors my view.

'Cod Glove' we cant even string 1 pass together that's meaningful.

Listening to Parish's interview with Izzard on Palace Player, he does make it clear that he likes the local/club connection in his appointments, which begs the question, who will replace Roy if he sticks to this? It would basically limit us to people who have lived in the area or who have played for the club - what's Roger De Courcey up to these days? He could have Nookie Bear as his number two.
