Now confirmed the shooter was confronted on the roof by a Police officer who retreated when Crooks pointed the gun at him & somehow code red or whatever word they use wasnt screamed over the radio & Trump ushered away into his bullet proof car.

The FBI have simultaneously insisted Crooks operated alone & also are unable to jail break his phone, how the hell do they know if they cant access his phone?

This whole thing stinks.

There seems a big and rather obvious problem with this particular conspiracy theory. If this was a coordinated and planned attack by professionals they wouldn’t have failed. Whoever would have been used would have known what the score was so would either have been prepared to die for the cause or have done it in a way which defied detection and enabled escape. The shooter was clearly not a professional, seems unlikely to have known the score and certainly had no means of escape. He may well have been a patsy set up by someone else but it defies logic that there was a bigger plan behind it. This talk of a “deep state” somehow controlling things behind the scenes is risible. You could never keep anything like that secret. It would leak. It doesn’t exist. There are elected representatives and public servants who are genuinely concerned about the prospect of a second Trump term, but no secret organisation directing them.

We need to wait rather than speculate. I will. The trouble is others won’t and even when official conclusions are reached won’t believe them.

If nobody trusts anyone any more how on earth can a society function?

You have been reading too many books. Books are not always true. Surprisingly some are written to make money.

That the intelligence agencies utilise entrapment as a tool seems to be correct. That some officers can go rogue seems likely too. That anything beyond that is done, certainly within the USA, seems unlikely. They couldn’t involve themselves politically without someone blowing a whistle.

I am quite sure that such things are sponsored by intelligence agencies around the world, including in the USA.

Finding ways of extracting information from enemies of the state who pose a severe threat to life and the security of the nation is part of their remit.

That doesn’t mean they are, or were capable of being , involved the recent event.
