However they have to put half the team on him to stop him even now with his reduced speed. He brings more than your stats suggest. That said I am torn. His fitness is a concern.

He would be too good for Saudi. Still feel he can do it at the top level (EPL) for another 4-5 years at least. Even with the injury issues this year he has still played 27/38 EPL games 71 percent of EPL games this season which is not bad considering it is worst year injury wise. Has played 30 or more EPL games the 4 years before this season. Regarding the hamstring issue this season I think this can be overcome by giving him extra rest. I think the first pre season gave is against Crawley Town on 19th July. Also got games against Millonarios and Sevilla. If he returns back like 10-12 days before the Crawley Town game that is plenty of rest for him as he has not played since 13th May. Using him wisely as well 30 mins off bench for 2 games and say 60-70 mins in the final game against Sevilla which would be a good game to play as they are the Europa champions. The last game VS Sevilla is Monday 31 July. And the season begins on Saturday 12 August. Which is again plenty of rest time to be recharged for the new season. If he does end up staying would also get another LW to eventually take over from him someone like Jack Clarke of Sunderland capable of playing LW and RW. More competition is good for Zaha as well I feel it will bring the best out of him. He can easily get 10 goals+ a season additionally, assists. All in all this will help Palace push as far as they can with help from Olise and Eze. Hopefully we see a clinical striker as Palace have not seen someone who scores 15+ goals a season in the EPL for a long time. Zaha, Olise, Eze and a clinical striker someone who scores at least 15 EPL goals a season Palace are cooking top 10 minimum could get close to Conference positions next year if a striker, RB and another solid DM is bought in to help Doucoure. Without wishing to appear critical of Zaha or the support for him on here, I find it rather obtuse that we are talking about managing the injuries of a player we are willing to pay £200k a week to for 4 years. That sort of salary should be reserved for a player at his peak, not one who is on the downward curve of his career. I would offer no more than a 2 year contract and no more than £150k a week. He’s important yes, but not to the detriment of the wage structure for the entire team.

I think a lot of supporters are thinking 'just go' so we don't have to be held to ransom or listen to the rumours all of the time. It's like he's bigger than the club. I suspect it's unsettling for the players even more than the fans. I think Zaha is great, but I support CPFC not one player.

He either goes now or goes in 3 years. He should have left us when he was 26/ 27 It was his own fault signing a long contract like harry Kane. Jack grealish left villa at the right time and look at the trophies he has won in the last 2 years. If he hadn't declared for Ivory coast he would have gotten his 100 million pound move. Wheras 40 / 50 was the max anyone would go for. Poor decisions all round by wilf I am afraid.

The only factor to make Wilf not worth having for me ,,is how much is he going to cost.

If he doesn't I don't believe it's the end of the world or indeed our immediate future in the PL. Have faith - we're now good enough to live without him if we have to.

Question? Is Zaha still our most important player? Or put it another way: Who would you keep out of the following if you could only have one of them?
