I don't mind losing games! But the way we have played (and being set up) after the World Cup is just abysmal. With the exception of Olise who at least tried, the trio of Ayew, Mateta and Schlupp set up a stand-still defensive "wall" in the middle of the pitch or thereabout.
Pressing, running - nah! Think our lack of strength and movement will cost us dearly. In the end we will need more Sanchez luck to avoid relegation.

How many "worst performance of the season" have there been? How many still to come?

If you can’t show any passion nor commitment against your biggest rivals then something is seriously wrong in the camp. If management and board can’t see that then they’re in the wrong job!

Just listened to PV's presser before posting. He's Really Happy, and we were well organised, so don't expect any thing different soon.
All I can say is the game must have looked different from the other side of the pitch.
The issue with certain players has been well covered but is Doucoure starting to flatter to deceive. I say that leaving aside he gifted the disallowed goal.

I was only saying the same thing to my friends alongside me at the game today - it's like watching Palace in Hodgson's final season with us. Dire.

The thing that really struck me today is just how poor our passing is. No wonder we score so few goals. So many of our advances toward the opposition penalty area peter out with misplaced passes.

For a Premier League side this is just not good enough.

Ridiculous statement, Hodgson and Vieira are chalk and cheese, Roy's sides were always highly organised, defend, defend, defend, respect the point, counter attack, boring, but effective, and Roy had a far worse squad than PV has now

I completely agree with you on this.

I have slept on it and read a number of posts on here and agree with most.
We got a point we didn't deserve. We were woeful in midfield and upfront throughout.
Brighton's disallowed goal has been proved to have been onside.
We look unfit. We seem to have no identity and a considerable lack of effort to boot.
PV stood there unhappy but he trains them and sets them up so he has to bear some blame.
Olise looks worn out. Eze needs to be sold. Schlupp and Ayew need more time on the bench.
No Wilf admittedly and the new boys looked good for the short time they were on and JMac is fit again - some positives.
PV needs to pick a side and stop tinkering or leave the club.

Arguably so, but by the time it gets translated on the pitch it's the same old s***. Ironic.

Roy is on record as saying that the squad he had was his best ever. An understated humourist.

Anyway Lanzo, what would you say if PV brought home a finishing position akin to that achieved by RH? Never mind the quality of of the football, as it was awful under RH as it is now under PV, the sole ambition is to tread water and survive another season?
Would PV not be following in the footsteps of RH or do you expect more?

Doucoure isn't as good as Hughes, cant pass, too lightweight, a booking every 3 games, slow, a poor purchase, again.

The narrative was that we really need to strengthen in the January 'Window' and the midfield was one area where additions were needed.
We bring 2 new midfielders to the club and neither has started a game !

No matter how good Brighton were yesterday, we were diabolical! PV doesn’t seem to get a spark out of the players. I watched Eze when he came on, he didn’t close down the Brighton defence from the moment he was on the pitch.

The Brighton back line were not pressured at all throughout the entire 90 minutes. I blame PV for this 100%, SP needs to have a word with him and say “ this ain’t working”

How we got a point yesterday was so undeserved, I felt embarrassed about it. We are behind the likes of Brentford and Brightons of this world on every level.
