I have no issue with it. I was countering this 1603 and 1567 rubbish - I've heard it all before. I'm a Tudor historian. I always hear that crap and wanted to point out how meaningless it is. A Sheik sounds alright though - we can all be rich and drive around in luxury cars. Not drinking though - won't work for me. Presumably there was an infiltration at some point.

Presumably there was an infiltration at some point. True - there was a name change, as German was going to be seen as unpalatable in the war with the Germans. As for infiltration, not really - more power grab. Kings have been killing and been getting killed for all of history. Largely, whoever had the most power and killed the other contenders was king. One of our most famous kings is Harold. Interesting as that goes right back. He had no claim to the throne other than being rich, powerful and (unusually) popular. Being popular was probably a sure sign he wouldn't last to be fair to him.

Sounds like the early days of the mafia; popularity wasn't such an issue there though.

Once the power-grab has been achieved, AS, it'll take something special to win that power back, I agree.

All the signs are there that they're in the process of being replaced. The press are trying to cover it up as best they can but it's obvious something larger is afoot. This nut, as you call him, seems to have a role to play in the outcome.
