The multimillionaire said the prime minister and chancellor were practising “GCSE economics” but described Labour as “sensible people who have got their feet on the ground”. Wow, don't think I can take being sensible and having my feet on the ground. I'll have to have a lie down....... Presumably the type of donor you were critical of, when donating to the Tories?

I can see how some departments would increase post Brexit as the UK untangles itself from the EU as it create new laws and has to make new bilateral agreements with other countries. However once you are over this initial hump I suspect that some of the jobs may no longer be required which begs the question will the Civil Service downsize? I think it will but it should start from the top but unfortunately I doubt that will happen. It will probably be voluntary redundancies and, believe me, it will the lower end who will want to go, having been fed up with being managed by those who know nothing about the job.

They'll be cheaper under Starmer - he's going to deal with those high prices.

No, I didn't support Corbyn but because he had no ability to put his policies to the people with any persuasion, commitment or charisma. I saw him speak to the converted at the Tolpuddle rally in Dorset and he had the charisma of a tadpole tbh. In our consevative (snmall c) country, we need someone with the vision and abilitiy to inspire people to look for a brighter future rather than the selfish Darwinism and dogma of the Conservative party.

As I stated in a previous post, she said " we" didn"t consult the cabinet- then said it was his decision when asked who"s decision was it! The "we", suggests she was well in with it! I f you were thinking of me as perfect- I thank you!

The issue with this U turn is not about the tax cut itself. It is about just how little courage Truss has. Their tax-cutting proposals were bold moves. Designed to get a moribund economy moving again. And signalling that they supported high-earners as well, was a powerful message. For a few days I started to believe that we might just be seeing the start again of a proper Conservative Government. But that is over now, before it even started. Starmer is a full-on US stooge. Suspect he was bought and paid for back in his days as head of the CPS. If you are sad enough, look into the effort he put into trying to depart Gary McKinnon, some dopey hacker with Asperger's syndrome. Staggering when you realise how Starmer scuppered a UK prosecution because he wanted the man to face decades in jail in the US. Starmer is Washington's man. And they want him in number 10 ASAP. You want a prediction? General election within the next 9 months. Perhaps coming about due to a mass defection of Tory MP's to a 'Government' of National Uniity, led by Starmer. Not sure they could pull off such a stunt without a General Election but that would be a foregone conclusion. Let's see. But Truss is dead in the water. Failed at the first hurdle.

Cutting the basic rate by 5p would benefit nearly all working people and would cost £5b.

Kwasi Kwarteng - My mini budget my have caused a "little turbulence!!!!" Biggest understatement since King Harold said "look at that t*** with the bow and arrow. If he's not careful he's going to have someones eye out!" Truss and Kwarteng have already proved they are not fit to run the country. She cut all Sunik supporters from the Cabinet like a petulant child. Looking at the debates before the tory election Sunik predicted exactly what would happen were she to do what she promised. Literally word for word. Sunik should have been given the reigns for sure and there must be a lot of tory members thinking what the f*** have we done!!! Idiots. This will take a lot to come back from. 34 points behind labour!!!
