And who could blame it? This is the bit I truly struggle with. If Russia wants to build a gas supply pipeline direct to Germany, then why is it anybody else's business other than Russia and Germany?

Ukraine is rotten to the core and yet we have Western Media openly showing propaganda of literal Neo-Nazi's teaching Grandmothers to hold wooden cut out guns and that is meant to be a good thing?

Russia has been lied to by the West on numerous occasions. Threatened with all sorts and for what? Russia has freer speech than we do here in the West. Putin is far, far more popular with his own people than any comparable Western Leader.

And speaks much more sense. Seek out his speeches on You Tube. His Q & A sessions with journalists. I just wish we could have leadership that was anywhere near as articulate and completely honest in his proclamations about wanting to do his very best for those whom he leads.

We have parity on something.

The western media are little more than puppets spinning their governments latest propaganda.

In the UK it is a never-ending stream of lies.

They churn out their masters threats ad infinitum.

RT the Russia Today news channel, invites viewers to write in if they feel their Ukraine coverage is wrong.

And Russians do speak freely, I was quite surprised to catch a studio audience having a go at a British judge.

He had let a young rapist off too freely in Ealing West London and the phone-in had Ealing residents having a go too.

That wouldn't happen here I suspect.

This from the 'Pravda' of HOL.

The hypocrisy is breathtaking.

Their media is about as free as their elections.

Of course they would focus on that west bashing topic.

People struggle to realise how far we have fallen as a nation, and a wider Western civilisation, in the last 20 years or so. Now I am under no illusion that RT is just as capable of pumping out the line the Russian Government want but it does so with little of the pretence of supposed impartiality that happens in the West.

The West has been totally captured by the Globalist agenda and is effectively allowing itself to be destroyed from within. Now, naturally, I blame the Left (with notable exceptions) to be at fault for this but we have had a supposedly Conservative-led Government since 2010. And it has made things much, much worse. That realisation is quite literally halting me in my tracks on a daily basis now as I try to comprehend just how widespread, and invasive, the rot is.

The entire system is absolutely disgusting.

The UK has very limited democracy if at all and is certainly no longer qualified to lecture others.

We have no written constitution, bill of rights to protect us.

The PM is able to bring in draconian powers quite willy-nilly.

The UK is Blackadder and the 'rump'.

Canada has a written constitution. Canada has a 'Bill of Rights'.

And that w***er Trudeau is freezing peoples bank accounts because they have the audacity to protest and/or help support people who protest.

Your argument is utterly frivolous. A piece of paper makes no difference to what is happening.

Exactly they make it up as they go along including the courts. Boris is told he has broken the law by the Supreme Court who are unable to tell him what law he has broken. He has been told he has exceeded his authority and yet the PM's role is not defined in law so that is the opinion of the judges and not defined in any constitution.

A written constitution does not solve all problems but at least we can then see who has power and what they can do with it.

In bullet points please outline the rot.

I am genuinely curious as to what vexes the many right leaners on here so much.

How is my life so much worse now than it was in say 1990?

One of the silliest statements made on here, and of course the bar is very high with the likes of Wisbelch in competition.

'Economic sanctions' against Russia?

Does that include returning to them the alleged dirty money that has in fact gone into tory party coffers?

The tories have turned London into the money-laundering capital of the world, no wonder Russian and others come here to hide from scrutiny.

And what's a bung to the tories, a casual 2 millions here and there.

They are so brazen, they even include it in their accounts.

We agree on quite a lot but you really are drifting off piste on this one.

Our constitution in unwritten. It morphs to reflect changes and is enforced through the courts. Nothing wrong with that.

Get a written constitution and they are written in stone. You are in 2nd amendment territory where ownership of a gun that made sense in the 1700s is used by bonkers rednecks to justify owning automatic assault rifles that should only be used by highly trained military personnel in combat zones.
