I just do not get why our fans need to be so caught up in discussing relegation. There are quite a few teams much worse than ours. Let us enjoy what our new manager is doing and enjoy this up and coming team.

Ridiculous to suggest we could go down (even before last night). We're a strong side now. I always think goal difference is a good indicator of how good you are and that puts us joint 8th - which I think is about right. It's for this reason I'm certain Burnley will stay up and why I think Leeds will go down. I think Newcastle's new signings will just save them. An interesting observation, goal difference does seem to be a good indicator if you look at how the table has panned out over the last few years. My gut feeling is that Burnley, Newcastle and Everton will be okay. That leaves Leeds and Brentford who actually play each other on the last day.

We have the team and management to keep us up comfortably. We were derailed by injuries to key players like Macca and AFCON. However replacing Gallagher next season is a major problem. Gallagher will go on to lift trophies... we don't often see players like him, we don't need to replace him we just need to get in a player to fill his position that clicks with the team..

For those who still think we could be relegated, I believe the bookies are now offering odds in the region of 33-1 (I'm not a betting man myself but saw an article giving the relegation odds for the teams in the bottom half of the table).

Absolutely wonderful to see the mighty Leeds in freefall, currently losing 3-0 at home and together with overrated Brentford, fighting to join the relegation race to the bottom!! Edited by Jacey (26 Feb 2022 1.50pm)

If I’m honest - the only season I thought we could go truly go down was our first season ( up until we got Pulis) then my fears were relieved. Even when we first got Roy - after FDB I said to friends and those critiquing we wouldn’t go down. Too many pessimists and glass half empty and fans on here who are too used to being negative about our positioning and league status.

Relegation is never out of the equation when it comes to the Eagles - learn to live with it!
