A Spurs mate who went was updating me throughout the game. He sent me a text after 20minutes saying zaha “is not up for this game” he doesn’t want it at all. That’s a Spurs fan seeing his attitude and letting me know that Wilf seemed like he didn’t want to be in the pitch after 20 minutes. I seem to remember a certain Kane and ten of his team mates doing the same before Conte arrived.

Zaha is on £120k a week. Ronaldo earns 4 times that. Edited by dreamwaverider (27 Dec 2021 3.41am)

I’ve really lost patience with Wilf and have my own angry feelings. Everyone knows that Palace wouldn’t be where they are without his contribution over the years. But does that make him a prima donna, someone who takes exception to a player having the audacity to even tackle him? Just what is he doing, what is in his head? It seems nearly every game, there’s a confrontation, with Wilf losing it yet again, often over what seems nothing at all! As yesterday, on a yellow card already, arguably a bit harsh, you’d think he’d have the experience and common sense to be careful, but no he pushes an innocent opposition player. Crazy. Up to that moment, Wilf had had a poor game anyway and this season, I’d suggest he’s been far from his best, as if his mind is somewhere else. Yesterday, he let down his teammates, coaches and fans. Andy Townsend rightly called him ‘stupid’. Of course, not for the first time his behaviour has caused problems. Some role model?

Not even proper fouls like the old days. He does the whole wide eyed at the ref routine for being held and a bit of shirt pulling. Luxury player long since past his best. Eze and Olise in now please. And shift Rak Sakhi up from the 23s. Wilf too comfortable these days. Watford and Ward Prowse sussed out How to play Wilf 4 seasons ago.

I thought we started well and actually looked the better team for the first 20 minutes. Conceding those goals in such quick succession understandably knocked us back and then Zaha took it upon himself to end the match as a contest. The first two goals were disappointing in the manner in which we conceded them. Until that point, when we were in shape and had players behind the ball, we looked ok. As for Wilf...up until the time of his second yellow, his passing, control and decision making were the worst I've seen from him. He made it easy for Moss to send him off and can have no complaints. I think the game was already beyond us but that effectively put paid to any chance of a comeback. We need to quickly put this behind us and focus on getting three points against Norwich.

People are getting confused with the offside rules. If the passing player passes the ball behind them, which he did, then it doesnt matter about where the defender is. Similar to a thrown in, where you cant be offside, you cant be offside if the ball is played backwards to you. Not confused at all, the ball was played forward and Son was ahead of any Palace player, from what I have just watched. If he was not offside, there are many that should have been allowed over the last 2 seasons. Inconsistency at its finest. Seemed to be hardly a glance by VAR

The chap that Zaha literally hurled to the floor, wasn’t he the one who did pretty much the same foul on Wilf in the same area of the pitch at Selhurst? Maybe even the same ref??

We were the better team for 20mins, the midfield three dominated, ayew, and Eduoard held the ball well, Wilf was abysmal from the off, he gave the ball away for there first goal, got himself sent off, game over
