Lady presenter on LBC said she went in to the boots walk in for her booster jab, they said wheres your doctors recomendation? She said I thought its a walk up and get jabbed system? They said it is, after you get your doctor to recomend you and clear it. She said I could just book a doctors appointment in that case. Bit like me going to the walk in centre in Croydon with a bad knee, the bloke said "its gona be between 4 and 5 wait". Bloomin hell I said, 4 or 5 hours in a walk in surgery, thats not good. He said no, 4 or 5 weeks! Welcome to the NHS people, this is the reality. Come and live in Cornwall. I get a text from my surgery when it's time to go get vaccinated. A quick phone call to confirm the appointment, a short drive, and it's done. Free parking at the surgery, quick temperature check, no wait at all and then 10 mins sit in the car before you can leave. I wasn't out of the house much more than 30 mins for any of my 3 jabs.
For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally. |

In Scotland they come to your house on demand. You get a pain free jab, a bottle of whisky and half a pound of peanuts, a troupe of dancing girls in your living room and a badge to thank you for your selfless gesture.

Sounds good Wisbech, it"s only a matter of time before the waiting lists catch up with you under the CONS, but enjoy it while you can- it issomewhere I have thought about.

How forgiving are you Brexit has been dreadful. Ask a farmer, manufacturer, anyone in commerce etc. And, despite being integral to the creation of vaccines with a massive head start we are now 34 in the list of fully vaccinated proportion of country residents. Not only are we behind e.g. Ireland, Italy, France, Portugal, Holland, Spain we are also behind Chile, Cuba, Uruguay and Puerto Rico. Frittered the good start away. Have you even heard of the vaccines minister? 17th actually according to "our world in data".

As long as old people are vaccinated, the other 75% doesn’t really matter. Same as a flu shot really, thatMs where you will save lives. Aiming for some mythical 100% is a waste of time as far as I can see. What’s the benefit?

Fully vaccinated countries haven't fared any better but don't let that bother the people who want forced vaccines.

Can anyone think of anything this Government has done, which by any stretch of the imagination could be interpreted as even vaguely laudable ? And before the vaccine roll-out is mentioned, even BJ very early on put that down to the private sector (drugs companies) playing their part in the capitalist market.
