Think the Dane will learn from it. BTW, he and his partner are solid gold - we are so lucky to have that duo in central defence.

What happened yesterday - why did we play against Holmesdale in the first half?

I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often. Although it didn't stop us getting a couple in the Whitehorse end.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

Agree with this TL. I was surprised, though, that Edouard thumped that shot that hit the bar. He was known at Celtic for cheekily rolling it in the net or dinking it over the keeper etc. and accused of not thumping it when he should have. Yesterday was crying out for him to pass it into the opposite corner. Having said that, I think he's going to be great for us. He presses well and finds space in tight situations and brings others into play.

the truth probably lies somewhere in the middle. I can't imagine that Vieira would have played exactly like Roy had he had the same squad because they weren't capable of anything better. You only have to look at Ward and Luka to see that they are capable of more than what Roy got out of them (or didn't get out of them).

Which players did Roy actually improve? Yes he worked on shape and solidity and working hard without the ball, but that's not necessarily improving the individual. I get the impression that Vieira is looking at the individuals and challenging them to do things that haven't been asked of them before.

Their whole football philosophy is different. As some have said - it's comparing apples with pears or oranges or whatever, which is valid to a point. But my main question is whether Roy's philosophy is fit for purpose, and I don't think it is any more.

Anyway, what a great comeback yesterday!

But certainly heading in the right direction.

It was good to see the crowd yesterday sticking with the team at 0-2 down and giving encouragement to the players as it was hard to take given the way that the play had gone.

This League is unforgiving - 3 individual errors in 2 games have been fully punished. You can't legislate for such events but it tells you a lot about the character of the players involved and the team as a whole, when they come back as they did.

Good to see Olise have the impact that he did. PV is managing his minutes prudently I think. His time will definitely come so it would be good to see the usual bores on here laying off of Ayew.

I'm sure there will be some more bumps in the road in the coming months, but so far this is an enjoyable journey.
