Well, Biden's not messing around, is he?

I assume you're joking (though the sleeping conditions story is true), but for the benefit or all..

FYI this was happening before Biden was inaugurated... with the active involvement of the previous administration. Trump didn’t pull ALL the troops out. They’ve been there the entire time he’s been in office. And not in a neutral capacity.

‘According to The Associated Press (AP), a senior U.S. intelligence official with knowledge of the attack said the airstrikes were carried out with intelligence provided by the United States – a rare incidence of publicized cooperation between the two countries over choosing targets in Syria.

The official said the strikes targeted a series of warehouses in Syria that were being used in a pipeline to store and stage Iranian weapons.

The U.S. official, who requested anonymity to speak about the matter, said U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo discussed the airstrike with Yossi Cohen, chief of Israel’s spy agency Mossad, during a meeting in the popular Washington restaurant Cafe Milano last week.‘

Speaking to UN Security Council, Bashar al-Jaafari accuses US of 'plundering' Syria's oil and gas reserves, calls on Biden administration to end Trump's policies.

‘The American occupation forces continue to plunder Syria's wealth of oil, gas and agricultural crops, burning and destroying what it cannot steal," Jaafari said, as quoted by the state-run Syrian Arab News Agency.

During his address, he said the US should withdraw its troops from Syria - a goal of the past administration that it failed to meet.’

Biden apologised for national guard sleeping in a car park,no social distancing or welfare facilities. 200 now have C19. Good start joe especially after you wanted them there to protect you from a fallacy.

It was my wife's remark over dinner this evening. Out of the blue and not in any way encouraged by me. I think caused by some of her colleagues from EU countries deciding to return "home". As they work in the NHS it's rather bad timing she probably thinks. On top of that she has heard complaints about how tiresome it is going to be when people want to make a trip to their holiday home in France. I think that's wrong and there won't be insurmountable barriers but hey ho, some seem to think so.

As a matter of interest why would EU National working in the NHS decide to leave? No reason for them to is there? If they have been here and registered, no problem with them staying, Immigration wise... fact.
On the other hand, I believe your wife is Filipino ( apologies if I am wrong), there will now probably be more opportunities for qualified Filipino health workers in the U.K. which I am sure she would welcome ( I must add Filipino hospital staff are amongst the best and their politeness is usually second to none).
Is it not possible certain EU countries will welcome the fact that qualified health care workers are returning to work in their own countries, given the “brain drain” that has occurred over the years?
Finally if you are of the opinion EU nationals will have problems entering the U.K., you are wrong ( unless their presence is undesirable and even you must agree this is the right course of action), they are still being allowed to use the e-gates and travel on ID Cards... fact

It might be that it takes more than 2 or 3 days to make important strategic military adjustments. If you're going to label the guy as a war mongerer while saying nothing when the previous President did exactly the same, your concern would appear to be a little misplaced and political.

I think you need to check your sources a little more thoroughly. This is how conspiracy theories go viral.

The National File is known as a conspiracy and pseudoscience website that reports from a conservative perspective. I have taken a look at their site and whilst some of their articles are clearly inventions I don't see this one. Maybe it is an old one. It does though have the ring of untruth about it.

Strange how someone calling himself a 'one nation conservative' would have a problem with that.

Unless they were an obvious liar of course.

Is that the same Associated Press that thinks that referring to White people should always be written without the capital?

Talk about as Democrat as you can get.....hardly going to report on Trump's policies in a balanced way.

Trump's foreign policy was basically whatever Israel wanted, outside of starting new wars, as that was his chief funding.

Even so he was an improvement.

Trump was about reducing military involvement and he did. That policy was opposed by the Democrats.

So I think it's a little misplaced to suggest there is little difference....there has been a significant difference between the Democrats and Trump on this....it's not like it doesn't matter.

I must admit I don't get this, the military are meant to be tough and stoic.

However, the military have every right to view the Democrats with contempt considering what's coming down the pipe for them.

At the last count 4.5m EU citizens have been given a right to stay in the UK that is 1m more than the government estimated when the scheme was launched.

Some EU citizens such as Poles have returned home because the good times are over and they are not making as much as they used to. It works both ways a builder mate worked in Germany post the Wall and really enjoyed it he only came back when the work started to dry up.

With all nations facing a health care crisis due to the virus some may have gone home to help their country which is a patriotic thing to do.

I don't care about people who have 2nd holiday homes abroad they don't get to decide our country's destiny it is always a risk living in a foreign country. If they are that bothered perhaps they should complain to the host EU country who sets the rules.

My wife is indeed Filipino. Apparently, from her own observations, there has been a movement of EU health workers away from the UK ever since we decided to leave the EU which has accelerated in the last year. We can only speculate on why!

Matching that there has been a recruitment drive in the Philippines to replace them. The problem is the timing. New staff from places with different practices have to undergo a period of assimilation and re-assessment before they get their "PIN" (for nurses). This is putting additional pressure on an already under pressure service.

I know that the EU workers could stay and indeed could obtain visas, provided they meet the criteria, but some at least have decided, for whatever reason, to abandon ship after Brexit.

That's his point, it's hard to tell between Democratic polices and satire.
