It looks like the way the deal is structured its a lose/lose for the buying club and win/win for Liverpool. If he's a flop you've thrown away 17 - 20 Million. If you develop him and he's a success, Liverpool get him back at a bargain basement price and you lose a prized asset. It would be even worse if that happened in a Jan xfer window. Imagine losing your top scorer in Jan cuz Liverpool want him back. He may be fantastic but this is a deal to steer well clear of.

Imagine Liverpool didn’t really want him but could make a few million by selling him on, it would leave a bad taste in the mouth for sure

Buy back clauses have been inserted into contracts for a long time but Iv never actually heard of a team activate one. Nathan Ake is a good example.

Personally I think we need someone in the mould of Mitrovic who can score but who is also capable of bullying defenders and holding the ball up to bring others into play. From all the accounts I've read Brewster is a pure fox in the box striker, which apparently is also why Liverpool are willing to let him go. For me, £17-20m is a big risk on someone with very little senior experience and none of it at PL level. The only way I'd go that high is if half of it was based on targets such as appearances and goals.

According to the media Brewster's advisors are telling him that Sheffield would be better for his development than either ourselves or Villa and to be honest it's hard to disagree with them. It's interesting what all of the ITK people make of this as Brewster to Palace was as good as done. I'm not just referring to dazza but to all those journalists who are supposedly close to the club

I said my 'hope' remember... nothing more than that!
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Weren't we previously linked with Solanke before he eventually signed for 20m with Bournemouth? Maybe Parish is getting fed up with Palace being used like a ghost bidder on eBay.
