Of course. They represent the people that think just like you do. To honestly think that social media platforms should be the arbiters of what should and shouldn't be debated, and what opinions should be formed, I mean really? Even, even if these companies were aligned to my politics, I would still be deeply uncomfortable having them police and manipulate discourse to meet their political aims. The greatest irony of the "anti-racists" that point the finger and proclaim racism, the "anti-facists" that point the finger and proclaim facism, the "anti-bigots" that point the finger and proclaim bigotry, those that demonstrate and proclaim a clear intolerance and dismissal of views they disagree with, to (in the words of a post made only a few before this one) "no longer [..] engage in any kind of meaningful debate with them as [..] it's a waste of time." is the very living embodiment of that which you accuse others of. The f***ing nerve of people like you. “The fascists of the future will call themselves anti-fascists”, as Churchill is often incorrectly attributed to have said. Diversity of everything, except opinion. Keep calling us bigots and racists. We'll keep winning elections. Case in point: Laura Loomer just crushed the Republican primary in Florida. She has been subjected to outright censorship on social media: bans and suspensions to those that dare share her campaign materials, or links to her campaign. 40% of the vote, and she will very likely win the state in November. Do your worst. I think it was Orwell mate - after coming back from the Spanish Civil War. Where Communist/Marxist groups regularly fought each other and executed people over interpretations of Marx and Engels. I haven't looked it up though, so could be wrong. Churchill in this context was Iron Curtain.

If it's true I would be surprised and disappointed. I'll wait for Bannon's commentary.

A bloke in America who gets all the election results right reckons trump will trounce this election. He states most polling data in the states is taken from Cities which are Democrat even in Republican states. He said the Rural areas are more red then ever and that the Gary Johnson voters from 2016 appear to be flocking to trump not biden. He believes Trump will win florida North Carolina and arizona easy and one off Pennsylvania Ohio and michigan. He hinted at Minnesota historically democrat being a possible flip state despite polling showing dems massively ahead I dont fully understand how but he is adamant it's not a certainty for the Dems. Silent majority will prevail I believe. A common thing Republicans do in polling Is say they're voting Democrat to make people believe they're miles ahead in the polls since they Democrats are less likely to vote. Only a small minority do this but they all count.
Jeez WE will be suicidal! Although I suspect Russian influence will be blamed, he has friends in America you know!

Regardless of party or campaign they've all got their hand in the till. Barr has snuffed out countless Justice Department investigations and criminal referral that would've inconvenienced Trump and his allies though so this is a curious exception. Bannon clearly majorly pissed off Trump with his book and as a man known to hold an eternal grudge, I wouldn't be entirely surprised if letting this one proceed is payback belated for that, or simply a dislike for Bannon's continued popularity in some quarters. "It's a very sad thing by Mr. Bannon... I didn't like that project. I thought it was a project being done for showboating reasons," Trump said "I didn't want a wall that was going to be an inferior wall." ""It was only done to make me look bad". "It was something I very much felt was inappropriate to be doing," Trump said Another one under the bus. Edited by BlueJay (20 Aug 2020 7.44pm)

Bannon was a major part in turning round Trump's 2016 campaign. During the early administration Bannon lost out to Jared Kushner, which I find kind of ridiculous but Trump's judgement is based upon loyalty over merit.....though I'm hearing that even Kushner is losing influence now. Regardless when it comes to Bannon I'll look at what's presented before taking a position.

My initial reaction is that this is political and could be designed to some how scupper, or poison, any proposal for him to become part of Trumps campaign team again. But we will see. Personally I see Bannon as one of the greatest political thinkers of the 21st century and would have loved to have seen him remain part of Trumps team.
