An unexpected win but one swallow doesn’t make a summer. We defended well and Gary coming in has been a real boost. We shouldn’t get carried away as this United side is in its transition period, and I reckon Ole will be sacked before Bonfire night anyway.

Good to see the plastic Man Utd supporters f***ing off nice and early..

Just grateful for 3 points...

I watched the whole game, we played to our strengths and frustrated Utd. I understand you listened on the radio, but have more insight as to our performance. If you knew anything about football, you would realise you win by scoring more goals than the opposition. Playing fancy passes in front of our defence might look nice on percentage possession, but you lose.

What on Earth are you on about. Pointless possession of 78 sideways passes and waiting for the opposition to get setup every time we get them turning back to defend is exactly what I’ve said we’ve been doing wrong.

I’ve given my opinion. Roy has said exactly the same. You have a problem with that. You’ve now lost me. You’re boring. Bye.

Very solid and hard working display with particular mention to the efforts of Schlupp, Kouyate and Ayew.
Despite Utd dominating the game Guaita barely had a save to make.
Luka’s poor form remains a concern.
Continually caught out by pace, sloppy in possession and giving away needless fouls, including today’s penalty.

I'd like to pay tribute to Gary Cahill.

He organised and chivied the defence brilliantly - something our captain can't seem to do.

Yes, we rode our luck and had good fortune which we deserved for sheer effort.

The contrast between last week and today was almost unbelievable.

Palace fans will dine out on this for weeks.

How long since we beat Utd? Also last time since we won at old toilet?

I'm sure it's been mentioned on this thread, but can't be bothered reading through it.

Thank you.

Couldn't watch the game today as I'm away and I'll be honest I completely avoided checking the score as I thought I'd postpone the weekly depression a little longer.

Roy and the boys have proved me wrong! I've just read the match thread page by page to try and get a feel for it. Well done to anyone surviving those last 10mins - I'm not sure I would have kept my sanity.

Enjoy the win everyone. Soak up the sun and the glory. Smiles for the rest of the Bank Holiday.
