The trading songs with the Arthur was pretty lame and getting the rest of the ground singing is more than a slight exaggeration because it didn’t happen. It’s sh1t, face it. There are times when the arfur are singing a different song to block E and block B might be singing with the arfur or a different song so you have 3 going at the same time. They’ve made a mess of it so far but there’s a chance to improve it. And the drum? Why so fvcking loud? It doesn’t or hasn’t worked and the previous one was okay.

Absolutely! Why are people so negative? Hats off to the block e 400 and all those singing. non stop and that we love you at the end at 3-0 down is what palace is all about. Did anyone see Roy walk over and applaud the holmesdale at the end?? Great scenes. Edited by Dean_CPFC (20 Oct 2019 2.41am)

I thought it was the same rubbish. They don’t get the rest of the stand or ground involved and sing songs they want to bob up and down to that nobody else does or knows. It’s now just a drum that’s too loud and a hum in one block of the ground. They could make it good but they’ve got full of themselves and made the move pointless. Well pointless for everyone except them. Btw I was for the move but they’ve so far failed, if they’re bothered. Don’t get the rest of the ground to sing? They sing for 90 minutes of every game with the intention of others joining in, the move was to help spread that from a more central position. Admittedly, it isn’t going to plan just yet. They can’t sing on behalf of others. It’s just a shame the majority prefer to watch in silence.

On the TV they sounded excellent. Non-Stop singing and louder than usual.

Sounded great yesterday and good to see others in the surrounding blocks starting to clap along and get involved. Early days yet but it's starting to take shape, including getting the AW back involved again with stand to stand chants. Great to see Roy come over to the Holmesdale as well, he must know how special it is to be totally dominated at home and still have that kind of backing from the support. That’s the problem. Think of plenty of home and away matches where they’ve bobbed up and down on their own for 20-30 minutes. First match at the Emirates for example. That’s a big part of why it isn’t and won’t spread. Away from that area it’s all very meh and just a louder drum. Maybe a match where we attack or are in the game might be better to judge but I honestly left v Man City completely forgetting the atmosphere.

The atmosphere was definitely better in block C and the Holmesdale in general yesterday. Considering the game was over at half time. I thought the 2nd half the atmosphere was even better. Display was decent too in my opinion them simple displays with an iconic picture of a player and simple quote look less tacky anyway like fortess Selhurst low point lol. However like I've said before away fans hear the atmosphere less now as white horse and AW section nearest to them is an all time low. I'm sure the players and support staff in family stand hear the noise better now but away fans certainly don't. The only way to fix this is move the away fans back to their old position or get a little singing crew next to away fans. Surely some young little fantatics can start off a 100 strong section over that side and coordinate the singing perhaps. Either way it's a good crack in the Holmesdale now but it's a one stand party I'm afraid and not intimidating to the oppo or their fans just more of a party and loyal non stop support in that stand which is decent enough and never existed in the 80s or 90s for sure son you have to admire the fanatics for bringing something extra to the support.

You need to look past the obsessive hatred you appear to habe for the guys and girls in the new section - the game yesterday had just about every Palace chant there is, plenty of variation both old and new. The new chant was taking off at West Ham, and sounded good again yesterday. Not everyone is going to love and want to join in with every song, similar to having your favourite band but still preferring some to others. Cheer up mate, people are having fun and making some noise for our brilliant small club in South London against one of the richest clubs in the world.

I don’t have any hatred towards them. I was for the move but it’s now just a louder drum and them singing away on their own as before in the corner of B, but now just more of them, unless we might be winning, and then there is an atmosphere.

Yep. Although the Arfur enclosure before it went seated had this and more, especially the end of the 88/89 promotion season and all of the 89/90 FA cup final season. But that was standing and seating is a different proposition. Needs a drum but not one so f’ing loud. The other one was loud enough but now they have one that’s excessively loud.
