As Chuka is one of those who argued loudly for more censorship on the Internet personally I'm happy to see him limp off to the Lib Dems.......the party that has the cheek to have 'liberal' in its name yet which is decidely illiberal compared to actual liberals. I find it more convincing than those claiming they’re going to go and re-negotiate some mystery new deal with the EU - does anyone actually believe they’re going to budge? I also find it a more palatable suggestion than Raab’s idea of locking out parliament.

Edited by Stirlingsays (17 Jun 2019 1.32pm) 100% could be wrong here, in fact I might be asking more than saying...but I think the 'liberal' part of liberal Democrats and 'conservatives' areally from the traditonal definition of the words. So liberals wanted 'change' to the system and 'conservatives' wanted the status quo. I think the Americans took the 2 words and over time churned them into left wing and right wing. Then recently gave them back to us redefined. Bloody Americans...if your country's so great, start inventing your own words...

At some point those MPs who claim they want Brexit but don't like the current options will have to make a decision. My point being that it doesn't matter what Labour or Tory say they can deliver if the EU won't play ball. That leaves us with no deal or we don't leave, so it's no deal. Raab is eliminated. Good - he got owned by Rory Stewart on the Channel 4 debate. Rory is surging in support meanwhile. Boris Johnson is going to be the next prime minister though, despite being a bumbling dishonest fool who is too scared to attend public debates.

The fact that our next PM is being kept away from the press and public because they know all his mouth can do is make things worse is really confidence boosting knowing he’s going to be the mouthpiece for the entire nation on the world stage in a few weeks. At least we’re not as important as we used to be.
