Ah so we agree the RB position is vulnerable until ferguson is fully match fit and integrated into the team.

That is different to ward being the team's weak link.

With respect I expanded my comments to clarify what I meant.

For avoidance of doubt, NO salacious activity whatsoever!

I am sure Steve won't conclude I am being unctious by asserting that he is a man of articulacy and personal charm.

It appears he is only being offered a contract because Ferguson is still injured following his failed palace medical in Jan. Ferguson has yet to play any football at all in 2020 so even if and when he is able
to start training it will be a long road back.

You have to hand it to Palace to find somebody who is so seriously injured and only 20 takes some doing lol

We were left with our back-up right-back when AWB left for Man Utd and we signed a player who had a long-term injury and wasn't going to challenge for a place straight away.
Total and utter folly and no wonder some supporters get irate about our transfer activity.

He didn't play much first team football before then either and I'm hoping that he wasn't scouted by the same person that scouted Jach

At least Jach was fit & able to play. N'est-ce pas?

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

I seem to recall that you opined that the "RB position" was vulnerable which led me to conclude that this was a reflection on the player in that position.
One can form all sorts of conclusions from terminology which might or might not lead to the message being mis-construed.

I re-iterate that Ward has been a loyal and able servant to the club over several seasons and I am sure he will always receive a warm welcome at Selhurst Park and deservedly so.
