Agreed. The kiwi commentator was also more exciting to listen to and gave good technical insight. For a real treat you should listen to the TMS podcast that is on the BBC which covers from 4 overs out in the England innings. Jonathan Agnew take a bow. Superb drama.

There is also some debate about the interpretation of the law and whether or not Stokes had completed the second run. If not England should have only been awarded 5 runs.

The Kiwis did not lose this game it was a tie. There is nothing wrong with England and NZ being joint world champions for 4 years. The Kiwis have taken this extraordinarily well, imagine if it was Australia People who backed NZ in my view should have their stake refunded. How people find cricket boring is beyond me.

There’s something pleasingly “cricket” about the idea of joint champions.
