'The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money' (Thatcher) This country already borrows every year just to stay afloat. When taken as a whole Immigration is a net financial loss to the economy. An intelligent analysis of it would look to restrict the parts of it that cost far more than others. But politicians rarely do anything intelligent. Edited by Stirlingsays (06 Apr 2019 10.41pm)

What is the magic number at which you admit there are too many people? 70m? 100m? More?

Brilliant. And if someone does provide the money for all the houses and the roads and the NHS blah blah, who is paying for it? Yep, we would with more tax. Not you, because you live in Holland. So in effect, people who have paid tax all their lives will be paying even more for an increasing number of people who have been here for only 5 minutes. Edited by Hrolf The Ganger (06 Apr 2019 11.18pm) Er, no if more people are here, more people are paying tax, hence there should be be more money to pay for public services to meet the needs of the people. Simple logic Strange how same people argue employment is at record highs as a reason Brexit is good but on here argue we're poor and don't have funds for our schools and hospitals. Cognitive dissonance again

Cognitive dissonance again I've already told you that high employment has nothing to do with immigration. How can it? Every person who comes here costs more money. Some of them might pay tax but that is clearly not enough to cover the costs of sufficiently improving infrastructure. More importantly. How crowded do you want Britain to become? It is already the most crowded country in Europe.
