It was a tricky cup tie and Donny are pretty good team at home. We deserved it and if the ref had done his job in the first half we would have been leading by 3 or 4 goals.

I've been to many a palace v Millwall game at at the old and new Den. Horrible crowd and a club I truly hate. Would love to beat them in the 1/4 final. As I say they don't deserve to play Wembley in the semi's By the way we if we played them at Wembley they would have more of their thuggish follow ing there so I hope we draw them tomorrow.

I have just looked at the last few pages on this thread. Palace fans are rightly celebrated but boy do we have our fair share of moaners and groaners! It's gotten really wild. Moaning about hanging out in Port Vale in winter? OK. Moaning about the state of affairs in 2019? Get over it! Be excited!

We scored at the right times so it looked easy. Still, in the next round and hopefully, we get a good draw ,so not City, United, Chelsea, or Brighxon away.

Batshuayi is not a conventional target man, he favours the ball to feet or into the channels. He is happy getting the ball to feet with his back to goal but is not one to win an aerial battle with a big defender behind him.Balls were played up to him aerially and he was totally ineffective as that is not his strength. Never thought that Ayew had that poor a game. Edited by Willo (17 Feb 2019 10.31pm)

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The only negative ' by Midlands Eagle PVA sent straight off, Meyer and Sclupp were grabbed for an interview and the rest (save for Wardy's lovely gesture) got no further than the edge of the penalty area...and looked mighty reluctant to do that much. We had just reached the quarter finals of the FA Cup ffs! Over 3000 fans travelled, the singing was constant and even some Donny fans applauded our efforts. I dearly hope someone at the club has a word with the players for their arrogant apathy.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Parish half time interview on BBC' by bexleydave Just replaying the game and I'm slightly puzzled by Steve Parish's comment in his half time interview with Eilidh Barbour, he said "... its an enticing draw from our fans point of view, with Brighton & Millwall both in OUR side of the draw..."
One of the biggest mysteries in life is that loud stupid people normally don't have even the slightest inclination that they are stupid. |

When the final whistle blew Benteke was near the touchline and halfway line and upon hearing the whistle vanished hurriedly down the tunnel. Good to here he hasn't lost any speed because of his injury. Now all he needs to do is find the net as easily as the tunnel

If true then that's disappointing... one thing I'll always give credit to Warnock for no matter what the result and if the players were sulking he made sure they always came over and applauded the away fans. Warnock had something like 'the breakfast club' at Selhurst. He made sure players came to the ground by a certain time to do PR and autographs,...else they were fined. (so as long as they did their SKY interviews, then I guess that is it ) Edited by Forest Hillbilly (18 Feb 2019 2.53am)

My only gripe today is the following - we sold out our allocation today and thousands of us travelled up making one hell of a noise from kick off to the final whistle. When the final whistle blew Benteke was near the touchline and halfway line and upon hearing the whistle vanished hurriedly down the tunnel. No shaking of hands with the Doncaster players on their big day, no congratulating team mates upon reaching an FA Cup quarter final and worst of all not even a glance towards those of us who decided to spend our hard earned cash travelling up to Yorkshire to Edited by herefordeagle (17 Feb 2019 7.37pm) When they came out to vancouver, the practise session then did like a meet and great, but when they played the match, whistle blew and they were off... no shirts thrown into the crowd, no applause to the fans who travelled to the game from all over - parish and co never showed up at the palace supporters bar like they did in the states, oh well. I do think though that the players totally respect and appreciate the support - i do feel our club has such a good following that on away games esp, the players should at least aknowledge the away fans, simply because it's such a nice gesture..
