Weed 2 down now.

Excellent 2nd half again, Wilf is in his element in those games where you need to take it to teams. Whilst 1st half lacked rhythm you can’t doubt a manager when he gets a response like that from his team. He juggled the Benteke/Bats situation well, it’s up to them to fight it out now.

Re. Max/Jmac, disappointing and pointless debate imo. Jmac has been and is still a class player, so underrated and embarrassing the criticism he gets from some. Max is fantastic and plenty to come from him but he’s far from the finished article. The competition is healthy, they both have their place in different games.

Up the palace.

I agree, whatever, our league position says it all, good or a bad performance today is irrelevant, we are still hovering around the relegation zone just three points from being in bottom three, our goal difference is worth an extra point but we still cannot afford to keep dropping points at home, there is something that is not
quite right at the club and I think the blame is at the top, as we just do not improve year on year and a change in direction is needed, however lets first get this season done and dusted and lets hope we can scrape over the line!

The problem at the club is our players can't hit the target frpm 8 yards with only the keeper to beat. We could and should have scored 3 or 4 goals today. Not sure what you expect roy or Steve to do about that. Yes we've needed a goal scorer most of thd season, but even do, the chances our highly paid players have missed this season is just ridiculous.

Wonderful news as the weed are losing 3-1 at home to Burnley and we go above them.
They now have the potential to get dragged into the relegation mix given their recent run of poor results and both Cardiff and Burnley revivals.

I’m not sure that’s really doing us any favours.

It doesn't matter what other teams do, it's what we do. I'm not concerned with 3 teams being worse than us, I'm concerned with us being better than the teams around us. That means winning games at home, creating chances and putting them away. We have struggled to do that this season. We are only 3 points above relegation, so it's about time we got our s*** in gear.

Half of our last 12 fixtures will decide if we stay up or not.

Don't lose these and we'll be ok.

I predicted the win beforehand so am a bit deflated by the result. Too many squandered chances in the second half. Cursed by crap finishing once again. That said a points better than nothing and I'm starting to feel that we'd need to f*** up badly to go down.

Thought they were slightly better than us first half, wingers that actually deliver a good cross, early.
Second half , did they get in our half more than once ?
We missed 5 great chances during the game. You’d struggle to find a better 1-1. Definitely don’t want to sign Antonio, Meyer and Batshuai need to start.
Great game, deserved more.

I like your attitude but it's okay to get a little satisfaction from seeing the weed in freefall right?

Indeed, although we’re a point nearer the trap door than we were this morning, we’ve actually moved up in the table and we’re above the weed for the first time in ages, so I’ll settle for that today.

The little victories.

You're right of course. The result didn't really help or hinder the bigger picture. We're in decent shape though and have reason to be quietly confident.
