We are fast becoming the muggings of this division. We are being thought of a 6 pointer by those around us on the table. Our naivety of play and tactics is astonishing, it's like watching a newsreel from the '50's. We are so predicable that others clubs already know how we'll play and are more than ready to counteract us.

Our squad depth is appalling, a reflection of our recruiting. Most of our benchers would struggle to make teams at championship clubs (which is where we're headed if we don't turn things around). The fact that some are rewarded with contract extensions for what I can only presume is blind loyalty is worrying. I don't blame Roy for that but he is answerable for the tactics and he's resistance to make changes when the match is crying out for it.

Our lack of quality strikers is really concerning but providing any decent service to them (whenever they return to the side) needs to be addressed urgently too. A feature that's been lacking for a few seasons now!

This last week's results has been difficult to swallow in light of the teams performance, but I still sense from the players, management and to some extent, some fans a laissez-faire attitude that things will work out in the end. Maybe, but don't bet on it!

6 seasons in the premier league and our two best players,(not today mind, but in general) are both products of the academy. We have failed to buy any players better,or as good as those two, that cannot be right, can it?

stuck up here with a load of northern monkeys!

He was totally and abject even before his injury and he still commands a place in the squad !!
What a sad state of affairs.

Meyer looked ok to me fitness wise and he just had created a goal with a great cross.

To then be taken off for puncheon. What a joke.

Where is Wickham, he seems fit in training but can’t make the bench? It’s comedy, in years gone by players like Dwight Gayle has to sit and wait and now we cannot find a fit striker who is above championship level.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

Yes I totally agree.
For a PL team to even have Puncheon in the squad is a dire state of affairs.

And both Zaha and Tomkins are out for the next match.

I thought we played well today, could have gone in two nil up at half time

Snap, that was until the 2nd half & a completely different looking team returned. Wilf looks totally frustrated with both the teams performances & the fact he's being played in the middle.

Could not agree more. Should have been off loaded at the end of last season.
What really makes my blood boil is that we lost Cabaye and RLC who in my opinion have not been replaced and kept Puncheon. Shocking decision making and we wonder why we are in the position we are in.

Punch didn't want to leave that is why he is still around.

Pullis came in for him deadline day but he didn't want to go up north.

Two tactical changes made today to change the game. Luncheon and Ayew. Absolutely awful decision- we should cancel ayew loan with immediate effect. Waste of space.

And for f*** sake put zaha on the wing. Frustrating that we play so narrow

Roy has to take some responsibility for the defeat as we looked unusually defensively fragile and as per usual toothless going forward.
However, I am even more annoyed with Zaha and Tomkins for getting needlessly booked; Zaha in the 89th minute for a pointless challenge and Tomkins after the game.
They will both miss the important Leicester game depleting an already thin squad and they are arguably are most important players.

No wonder Roy was annoyed in his post match interview as these 2 cards may well have one of his legs over the exit. If we don't get a win in the next 3 games, one is Citeh away then I feel he is a goner.

Somebody make Roy a microwaveable meal, walk his Chihuahua, and put him in sheltered housing with a Subbuteo World Cup edition to keep his mind occupied.

I think we need to go down to the championship and re-build our squad . We seem to get worse year on year while in the premiership.

Did he add some meat to the midfield??

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!
