That was my point, you can't blame Parish coz Benteke has a (long )run of bad form, or that Wickam had a serious injury, it happens.Sure Solloth, Agyew and Much are not good enough, but we do have a lot of very good players, plus the recently departed frenchman who was a record buy at the time, and L.cheek on loan last season.
You ignore the all the good signings and highlight the bad.
As for Bromley, forget that, i wouldn't want your grandad to stop following the Palace.

Agree that most of us didn't envisage both Benteke and Wickham (still) being injured for such a lengthy period of time. But the disjointed transfer activity in the meantime has a very Mickey Mouse feel about it.

I will let granddad know.

I can and do blame Parish for our lack of striking options as benteke has been misfiring for a very, very long time.

We have made good signings in defensive areas but where is our attacking threat? We have no bench options in an attacking sense, not a single player to come on and get us back in a game.

Under the Parish reign our signings of strikers and attacking players has been poor on the whole. Once again Benteke is injured and we play Wilf and Andros up top.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

Our paucity of attacking options is well known and has been well documented.Thing is that strikers of some repute cost a great deal of money and our financial constraints will preclude us from being overly ambitious in this area. This is why we have ended up wiyh Ayew and Sorloth ! I wouldn't be surprised if we used the Loan market to bolster our striking ranks.

If you can suggest someone on loan who will immediately fit in I'm all ears

Issue is that some players whom we couldn't afford but would like to take on Loan might not be loaned out by their clubs as these clubs might want a fee for them.

Solanke is interesting Rangers but don't know if Liverpool will want him off their books for a fee rather than loan him out.Not sure regards Tosun.I believe Llorente wants a move back to Spain. One can find negatives about all these players but as a club we are where we are.

If so forget about him as Gerrard will swing it. The loanee that we should of got from a big club was Abraham. I wanted him last season but clearly RLC was a great loan move.

Ayew scored more goals for Swansea last season than Abraham !

Ayew scored for fun at Swansea last season as did Benteke both at his spells at Villa,Liverpool and for us during his first season.
Why do we manage to get such a dip in form from our strikers, who have been successful elsewhere. Is it our coaching methods or something deeper that is so drastically wrong??
Can't blame Parish for this one,for a change.

To be honest, we cannot bring in strikers proven at the top level for a tidy sum, indeed many might not be available, accordingly we are by necessity having to either try to lure loanees or shop at the lower end of the scale.

Who do you fancy ? Oli McBurnie,Chris Wood,Kemar Roofe, Lucas Perez, Manolo Gabbiadini ? I have heard all these names mentioned in additions to players from abroad I hadn't heard of !!!!

The focus on HOL and amongst our supporters is obviously in the striking department, but in my humble estimation we could do with a midfielder who 'pulls the strings' akin to the likes of Fabregas,Shelvey,Pablo Hernandez.

Even if we go for a big money striker who’s to say he will score the goals to keep us up and progress. In my opinion we need a Defoe type player not necessarily him now , but who has experience and convert a better ratio of chances provided .The fact is we are creating chances which is normally the major problem.I know it’s easily said than done ,we need to unearth another wrighty ! Quickly

About the same chance as acquiring a striker for "Big money" than May's Brexit deal being approved in the Commons !
