If Liverpool want to pay DS's wages until he is fit - then I'd take him.

I have just been told that we still might conclude a deal for Solanke at the end of the window subject to who we get in between now and then. Really useful Dazza - keep posting, thanks for info!

I don't normally respond to your posts but I will make an exception on this occasion as your attempt at sarcasm is misplaced. His exact words were:- "Trust me he has signed just Palace are slow to announce will either be later today or probably tomorrow" Would you care to tell us all what part of the above quote is not an absolute statement of fact?

Well, were it in my control I would sign an agreement on behalf of the club within which would be a clause stating subject to a satisfactory medical. So you are certain no agreement was entered into? I believe normally pre-contracts are in use.

Well what a result just leaving the game we were excellent and well done Ayew. I have been informed by my source tonight that Solanke had passed a routine medical however flagged up that he has a minor injury. I have been informed that the deal is not dead and could still be on however Palace are also looking at the other 4 on there list expect a new striker in before our next league game. Palace want a striker fit and ready to play so this could scupper the deal. Puncheon has gone Huddersfield ending his career at Palace as he is out of contract. Williams is off to Charlton and Kirby is off to Blackpool, there will be many more going out. Just be patient as I say we will make 3 signings. I know what I said earlier is slightly wrong but only passing on what I get told. Keep posting your info, some are a bit envious you may have a contact. Most people realise signing players is always protracted unless you want to pay way over the odds, there are a few who fail to grasp it.

RH quoted on Five Live News this morning that the whole thing is off because of an unsatisfactory medical.

The bit where it was overtaken by events. Assuming that a medical will be a formality is pretty commonplace and unsatisfactory medicals are unusual. HTH. Edited by chateauferret (03 Jan 2019 12.26pm)

I'd imagine one being Batshuayi and another one Tammy Abraham.

I imagine Dazza’s got to be a bit discrete about that - confidential info you don’t want the opposition to know about ...personally I think Dazza does have a club contact who knows what’s going on and it’s. Reassuring that there is 4 or 5 players on the short list and we might come back infor Solanke if 1 or 2 other players come in. Abraham would be good as he seems to be inform and Batshuayi less so because he isn’t.

An agent tells the club my player is fit and desperate to join Palace when one or both of those statements may not be true. Some agents will play clubs off against each other. I have no idea whose Dazza's source but it is likely they are only reporting what they have been told. There again they maybe feeding Dazza and the media misinformation so that the selling club and player believe other targets are in mind if the price is too high.
