Is it me or do we get more injuries in training than other teams ? Great to know that training sessions aren't lightweight but might be too hard on a thin squad.

Not good news at all for Wayne: Now 'charged with a breach of FA rules for making an alleged Nazi salute in a photo posted on Instagram.' Link: [Link]

According to the Mirror, he could pick up a 5 match ban for the infamous salute. Unbelievable really, he may be totally innocent and yet could pick up a 5 match ban and yet Salah can cheat in front of the world and they don’t give a toss about it. There is something seriously wrong with the modern world.

I'll be very surprised if he gets banned. They charge him, he appeals saying that he was just covering his mouth - how can they dispute that, unless Wayne has a history of such actions?

The FA is overstepping its authority with that Nazi salute charge. I’m not sure why but the entire saga infuriated me indescribably. I’m at a loss for words about it to be honest. We condemn McCarthyism, internment of Japanese citizens and the like but inevitably reproduce such irrational and repressive mentalities. Infringement upon free speech in the name of political correctness is the latest example and people are too thick to realize it.

There is something seriously wrong with the modern world. He meant it as a joke, which is extremely obvious. They have to be seen to take action though in case anyone takes their hanky out.

I've got to say, if his excuse is genuine, it is really truly unfortunate because I don't know who waves with their hand in that position, straight arm and thumb tucked under their hand whilst also having a fairly straight hand to help carry his voice - all directed at someone taking a photo who happens to be German. Having said that I don't think he is stupid enough, and the crowd he is with really isn't the sort that I could imagine it being a funny joke... I am not sure what the FA standard is (beyond reasonable doubt) - he could probably argue that, but it doesn't look great for him. Maybe the way the GKs glove is cut and his hand actions on the pitch (of which there are photos of him) meant his wave looked more salute like due to muscle memory... Good luck Wayne!

The FA has officially lost all sense of reason. This happened at a private gathering and he didn't post the picture. I thought that this kind of lunacy was restricted to dictatorships. An irony in the extreme.

Blooming ridiculous ... why don't we just concentrate on the things that REALLY matter anymore? The whole country seems to have gone stark raving bonkers.
