Although we know that it was always going to be difficult to get anything out of Spurs to me it showed quite clearly that the player we miss is Benteke scoring or not scoring goals. Townsend / Ayew/ Wilf up front is not the answer we need players to play in their positions and at centre forward we only have the choice of two one injured and the other sub standard.. just look at Mayer today he was ok but influenced nothing and when he was replaced by Schlupp and Sorloth our play changed. Schlupp drove us forward because it is his position compared to Meyer who is not cut out for that position and Sorloth played where a Centre forward plays albeit not very effectively. Get our playersin the positions they can play at and we then may start to score goals. I still think we will survive. COYP

Meyer doesn't look all that so far. I'm not saying he won't come good, but he doesn't look strong enough or dare I say it that confident, he plays with his head down quite a lot. Ayew seems slow as a dodo. Even the Tottenham centre-backs outran him. Overall, a good performance but another loss and more points dropped and we're into the relegation zone. I don't care who we played, but we are now officially in trouble. The minimum is not to be in the relegation zone. I'm sick to death of the crap transfers in that have not improved our team at all. This season has been a let-down, let's be honest. Another relegation battle ensues.

If we had decent goal scorers we could have been 2-0 up at that point.
