Yep.

How is it the manager's fault that we don't have a proper centre forward?

Hodgson kept us up last season. Is he suddenly a bad manager? Have you ever seen us pass the ball better than we do now? I haven't. Up till now, our passing has been s*** for nearly 40 years with few exceptions. There is just no end product.

Fact is that fans always go for an easy target because you can't sack the players or the chairman.
No one should be surprised that we are not scoring with Ayew or Sorloth up front. I bet Roy isn't.

Max Meyer is the only decent buy but why RH refuses to start him.

Maybe, because, as we saw last week, at the speed he plays and the distance he covers, he can't last 90 minutes yet

Wolves looked like they had a plan to sit behind the ball and see what we had for while knowing that it wouldn't be much, broke at speed but luckily for us in the first half their finishing was poor.

Second half they got another and took it. For all our good approach play there's insufficient quality at the sharp end and when Benteke isn't playing we don't even have the alternative of an aerial threat.

The back four and Wilf pick themselves, McArthur has been superb over four years but apart from that the mediocraty is very worrying.

We have the possession football that everyone craved but we're blunt. Cabaye and RLC haven't been replaced although Meyer hasn't been given sufficient chance to prove otherwise and it's staggering that Schlupp was selected ahead of him.

The ref was a joke and if he'd been stronger earlier in the game the serial fouling by Wolves near the end wouldn't have happened or the "Red" on Wilf which he bottled and gave a yellow.

He also can't play that defensive role it showed this today when he came on he played short amount in same role as McArthur and wasn't good at it looked like a waste so he then was moved to attacking role which brings out his best game

This is whats good about McArthur he can do both.

Really, when was the kast time he scored, or had an assist.admire his energy, but would rather see Meyer or kayoute play.

Another disgraceful performance and another display of toothless attacking and appalling finishing. The performances are getting worse and Hodgson keeps just doing the same things, in the same order, with mostly the same places. Zaha, Townsend, Milivojevic, Schlupp and Ayew all complete and utter s***e. Hodgson meanwhile seems to have completely lost the plot and to have no idea how to do anything different. I don't know what they're doing in training but there's no excuse for putting in performances like that week in week out.

Anyone who believes "the goals will start flowing" is delusional. Major surgery is required.

Lack of quality in the final third has cost us again. Every team that is in the lower half of the league will play the same way against us at Selhurst. Sit behind the ball and wait for us to make a mistake, and we duly oblige time after time....

One thing we need is a leader on the pitch who doesn’t hold back in barking out orders, at the moment we are just too nice...

I think we only have the horses for one particular course, as it were - we need to play a counter-attacking style and use our pace. Right now I have no idea what we're trying to do.

To state the obvious if you can’t score goals you can’t win games.
We have 5 games in 8 games this season.
That is bottom 6 form and we have zero threat when Zaha does not play well.
I have some sympathy with Roy as he has no real options up front.
However,I was frustrated today with the lack of zip and purpose to our game.
We seemed content to play the ball across the pitch with no purpose and by the time the ball went forward the strikers were tightly marked with no space to operate.
We have to find a way to stretch teams and improve our potency from set pieces or it will be difficult to score goals with the strikers currently available.

Other clubs don't have this problem and have better quality.

I would also like to know the source for this we spend everything we bring in because company house showed we made profits of over 15m

there are various people on twitter who dicect football clubs accounts and i think we spend in excess of 80% of our income on wages alone...we apparantly have the highest income/wage ratio in the league alongside bournmouth, they have a sugar daddy! we dont!

please name these other PL clubs that have the same resources we have but have much better quality as i dont see it

also grumpymort...you talk about financial mismanagement, i think most of our overspending over the years has come as a result of our inability to keep a manager long term, for one reason or another our only long term manager has been pards and its no coindicence we didnt overspend during his tenure

i really like woy being our manager but its only short term, the next appointment has to be a long term one or we are going to have to spend another 50m just to appease a new manager.
