Seen it a few times now and I think it's a soft penalty. Sakho was incredibly silly to risk it, and it wasn't his only big error in the second half, but he barely touched the fella, who threw himself to the ground.

Ref was giving them all game, too many of our attacks were cut short by a diving cheat and a cheating ref

The name of the game again this year is just stay in the division. There is worse teams than us so we should be ok.

Seems to have been marked out of the last two games. The rest of the team have been so bad it’s obvious our tactic will be to force the ball down the left and give it to Wilf.

Unbloody believable I can’t believe what Sakho was thinking, you have the ref standing in front of you, watching for incidents like that and he goes and uses his elbow , what was he expect the ref to turn a blind eye talk about throw the game away all Sakho fault.

I also have to say not impressed with Hodgeson subs timing. You take off two midfielders in the space of seven minute at the most critical time in the match, instantly you weaken the structure of the team. Mac A looked as though he had a knock understandably replace him with Schlupp but taking of Meyer, surely it would have made sense to have left him on. Two ways with Ayew, left him on as he had game pace or as he did replaced him, with Kelly not Sorloth

We now know why Ayew and Sorloth are on the bench when Benteke is fit!

We can't say that the club hasn't spent money on strikers. 30 mil on Benteke for Christs sake. Sakho needs to be getting fined a weeks wages for his stupidity. Also Roy is starting to develop Pardew esq tendencies. Refusal to change things up, poor substitutions, loyalty to awful players and throwing away games. He needs a rocket up his backside and to change things quickly or we are in big big trouble. Wolves will murder us Saturday. Also Ayew is worse than Akinbyi.

It might have saved Roy a selection headache if the ref had shown Sakho a red card. He could have done. Kelly is less gifted but more disciplined.

Roy with an interesting point when interviewed, very silly free kick to give away by sorloth which led to the penalty.

We really did hand them the game.

We have been more effective when Zaha and Townsend swap wings during a game. Tonight we did not offer any variation in our play and were very slow in moving the ball forward. Sakho has cost us four points in our previous two games (open goal miss against Newcastle and tonights penalty) so needs to up his game and his temperament.
