With the elimination of Saudi, Egypt, Morocco and Iran, it looks like England is the only islamic country left in the tournament.

That made me chuckle quite profusely.

I am hoping for a good England performance today.

I think some good sides are leaving and what do they have in common?

They don't take their chances and give the ball away at critical times.

So would like to see England comfortable on the ball and tight where they have often been sloppy.

Lukaku out so that is a bonus.

Disagree with a lot of the views on this thread.

Think it's been a really enjoyable World Cup so far, and VAR has, on the whole, worked very well and has improved decision making exponentially to what has been seen in recent seasons

A poor team selection and correspondingly nil shots on goal against Belgium at half-time.

Can only get better but no penetration by us.

COY England

Not sure why the so called experts were down on RLC for the first half. I thought he played well.

Yes but if Alli is fit there’s no way Loftus-Cheek Cheek is taking his place.

And yet Gary Neville said Belgium don’t want to win this game despite 6 shots on goal including one kicked off the line.

Looks like we are going to be the losers tonight but maybe the winners further down the line.

A turgid load of bollocks and very like the England of old.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

If I were an England supporter I wouldn't be too down about the result, just as I wouldn't have been over excited by the other results. Columbia will be no pushovers but I think England stand a very good chance of beating them....as long as Phil Jones is left guarding the boots back at the training ground.

Rose gave away possession for no reason led to their goal.

Rashford missed a sitter.

That's the difference........

It’s a good result for England, make no mistake about it.

We’ve just about scraped past Tunisia and put 6 past a Sunday league team.

Hysteria follows of course, but we ain’t beating Brazil.

The biggest worry for us now is Colombia, who are actually a good team. *If* we can get past them, then we have a real chance of going further than we have done in some time.

We’re still nowhere near the big boys of world football.

We're the Arthur over ere!
