Sun or not it has the ring of truth about it to me for many reasons. If the figures quoted are true Wilf has been offered a pay rise equivalent to the wages of a new player but he wants a huge pay rise equivalent to two new players.

You may or may not be right, but most would be more convinced by a slightly more cogent argument. Not really. It’s a scurrilous transfer rumour involving Wilf, and all of you are playing right into it’s hands by worrying. If it’s factually true, then I’ll worry. But it isn’t.

5 words - It’s a load of crap. And if all of you believe what some Sun scumbag journalist posted, then shame on you. Why is it a load of crap? Is Wilf so unambitious that he wants to stay with a club that's just lost it's other star player and looks set to struggle again for another season. Or is it that Wilf is so in love with Selhurst Park and his adoring public that he will forgo any personal ambitions to play European football. Why when the whole of the footballing world had stopped linking Wilf with every top club has this story suddenly appeared out of nowhere It's fairly obvious to me that your so called "scumbag journalist" got the story from Wilf's agent who wished to put pressure on our board to either pay him a king's ransom or sell him to a top club. It will be interesting to see if Wilf or his entourage issue a denial today. Somehow I doubt it and I also doubt whether Parish will deny the story either Edited by Midlands Eagle (07 Jul 2018 8.28am)

It's not been a very active summer. They have pieces they need to write.
Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time. |

Sounds more like wishful thinking coupled with a bit of blind faith from someone with his head buried firmly in the sand. I would love to be in a position to apologize to you in a week or so but somehow I doubt whether I will need to

Last summer it was priority one to offer Zaha a new contract, smiling picture with Steve Parish in Spain, and Bob's your uncle. It's not been quite the same scenario this year, but you can't exactly blame the player if he wants to try his luck again on a bigger stage.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle I don’t begrudge Wilf another move but if this story is true then the timing isn’t great. As seems to be the norm at Palace, it’s another pre season bombshell. I actually doubt that this is about money. More likely Wilf can only see another season of firefighting ahead. And it’s hard to see anything else at the moment.
