The one striker thing was poor granted, but we don't know what the plan was for that - did we have players we felt could fill that role if we got an injury? Did we fail to tempt our targets because they knew they would be second fiddle to Benteke? I said numerous times we shouldn't have slated Campbell as much because players like him that were happy to be third/fourth choice but had experience were valuable but he still got constant criticism. No one could ave predicted the Souare situation but we are a million miles from being the size of club that can have a £10 million signing waiting in the wings in case something like that happens. Like I said, we are certainly not perfect, far far from it - your points are fair and 10% valid but there are plenty that raise points that are ridiculous. Conor Wickham is vilified for having a terrible injury – all of a sudden he’s a sick note that wants to stay at home with his wife and is happy not playing football rather than a young man who’s career could have been ruined by a horrible injury. Benteke is a terrible signing that we should have never bought, blame the board. Let’s forget that he scored 15 goals or whatever last season and just focus on how stupid we were to sign him and we should have kept Murray And on that note, Murray and Gayle should never have left and the board should be ashamed – rather than 2 players that asked to leave after we spent £30 million on a world class striker. The board should all resign because of poor transfer dealings – after appointing Freedman (who is widely regarded as having had a great eye for signings) to handle transfers and being royally screwed over with 2 signings that looked all but done – but they should have seen all that coming. Parish is a money grabber and should be ashamed. Sakho is a liability and should be got rid of because he isn’t sure he’s fit. He’s not the best defender we’ve ever had and doesn’t deserve the benefit of the doubt after his performances and the commitment he shows on the pitch. The injuries are the fault of the manager, the board the pitch, the coaches or whoever else we fancy blaming, not just bad luck. Honestly it just winds me up - if we have a poor first half tonight I'll hear booing and shouting and watch fights break out between our own fans - I'm not saying pretend everything is rosy but if we just got behind the team (much like the 3-0 versus arsenal last season, the atmosphere put us 2 up and melted the Arsenal players) rather than looking for negatives all the time we would be in a much better place I can't see anybody that was here as adequate back up for Benteke. On Campbell you're right, as a 3rd or 4th choice. Parish regretting releasing him sounded like a wounded man rather than using any sensible knowledge with regards to a 2nd choice. We may not be able to have £10 mil players as back up in every position but you've got to have someone. Example being Mensah, or just someone with ability, a recommendation, promise, something more than Fryers could offer that's for sure. You often get CBs that can play RB (Tomkins, Kelly, Mensah the reverse?) but left backs not so common. I really felt for Kelly being ruined. The striker paragraphs I agree with and have refrained from Parish bashing on the Gayle/Wickham one and bashing Parish over Benteke, although I think Benteke has a lot of soul searching to do and at the time I felt we should be careful we weren't starting the beginning of the end up here in the prem with such an expensive signing. I don't think it was looking at the money we did have for Niasse and then Adamou. When we start a season we need to ensure we aren't in the position we've created. Points are like gold dust and games can't be chucked away and expect to get away with it every season. Obviously I feel that could've been solved. There won't be any toxic atmosphere v Utd. I doubt there will be at all this season because compared to Pardew we have a manager who knows his stuff and we'll more than likely on a tightrope right till the end or as near as. The Allardyce start was a bit unique with his previous controversy and the team which was actually a fairly strong one but looking like boys without bollox and the Pardew blame v loyalty to him despite that/in denial of it.

If it is just in his head, he needs to leave as he’s letting us down big time. Wasted an entire transfer window missing out on other plays just so we can sign him and he’s only played a handful of games.

We need this player back. With him there stupid mistakes in central defence just don't happen and neither do aimless hoofs upfield for the opposition to pick up and bring back.

The Allardyce start was a bit unique with his previous controversy and the team which was actually a fairly strong one but looking like boys without bollox and the Pardew blame v loyalty to him despite that/in denial of it. The Fryers situation was a strange one - if I remember right Pardew clearly felt that Fryers was good enough as he played them in the friendlies and was quite complimentary - then totally hung Kelly out to dry by playing him there and almost completely destroying the confidence of a decent player. It was almost like a punishment at times and I'm pleased that he's got back to the level of a decent player. I've defended Benteke to the hilt may times this season but your'e right, he needs to now look at himself. The role he's playing will always annoy people if e isn't scoring but they need to understand the type of player he is - some just want him running around like a headless animal when clearly he's been told to keep the shape - that said the arm waving when he doesn't move and seems to have wanted a pass that was never on is starting to get on my tits. You are 100% right that we weren't properly prepared but with the restrictions a club our size has, I really don't think it isn't for the want of trying. the way some fans feel like it's Parish's naivety is annoying and likely untrue, we have a chairman with one eye on the future and a real love for the club and we are very lucky for that. I concede that the toxic atmosphere comments were mostly just my frustration, the singing after united's third was borderline heartwarming, that's one of the things I love about this club and having seen it a fair bit over the last couple of seasons I expected it and was pleased to be proved wrong. Still so gutted after the reason and when I found out this morning that Sky had given Matic man of the match rather than Schlupp or PVA it really makes me wonder if there is any point in them watching the games. Sakho posted an instagram video at about 11am of him talking about a rendezvous tomorrow (Wednesday). I don't speak French so I can't confirm much more. He's had half grief from Palace and Liverpool fans and half praise from palace fans. Was he at Palace v Man U and if he was, why not post that? He should've been there, injured or not, and it isn't the actions of a leader if he wasn't. Was he? No signs he was. What I also think should change is Parish posing in pictures with marquee signings. Anyone that has a bit of liberty taking in their DNA will pick up on this. It's not a Parish bashing thing, although I think the public photos are unnecessary. It's more part of the learning curve, or maybe most owners keep that player-owner distance so professional respect isn't potentially at risk.

Not seen any photos of him training or the like.

Maybe the players were in on Tuesday and off on Wednesday. But therefore why isn't he at Beckenham at 11am on Tuesday or on Wednesday? The players and Sakho will be required to be in as a group on one of those 2 days, possibly both. He's in on neither. This smells.

Quote :- RH: Mamadou Sakho should train with us tomorrow, I'm told. But he's been out for weeks now, [so still a while before he's back].
