Crypto's getting slammed once again by the usual suspects but they still haven't gone to zero for some reason.

What does this tell us? It's still a great time to buy.

Buy Litecoin.

I saw a headline in the FT that Bitcoin was largely controlled by a small number of investors. I am not a subscriber so couldn't read the article.

Have you seen this?

When a small number of people control a financial instrument then it will always be Joe Soap that is caught out holding the baby. That does not mean to say that the so called professionals will not lose money because they will but they might keep there shirts.
My experience? city trader during the 80's to the 90's in small markets.

No, i've not seen it but am aware. Yeah the crypto market is small (around 0bil market cap atm) so yes, it's relatively easy to 'manipulate' with not too much capital.
The thing is, every single market on the friggin' planet is 'rigged' (as Harborough will be fully aware). The Bond market, Equity markets, Forex, Comex......the list goes on and on and on but sadly this is never 'advertised' (for some reason?). The difference is that these particular markets are rigged by an even smaller body but have a far far bigger impact on everyones life........whether you subscribed to it or not.

Still a great time to buy

Edit: Cryptocurrencies are designed to 'take out the middle man' ie the banks/financial institutions that take their cut with every single transaction you/we make. Is it any wonder that there is never a good word said about these currencies?
Think about it.

There are safer ways to make money......Though this isn't in opposition to what you are saying.

No, 'Hubble Bubble'.

Was Amazon (just one example) in a bubble when it went from $2 to $85 then back to $5?
