Regards referees, I fully appreciate that they cannot be right all of the time and that they do err from time to time, however I look at matters from their perspective to try and understand why decisions were made even though others might view them with incredulity. That's all I try and do on HOL but clearly the masses on here view it differently. "....the masses....!" Spoken like a true Tory (which, as Willo once revealed, he is!)

Wilo I actually love your posts, but every now an then for the love of Christ, tell us they got it wrong! :-) Goldfinger I keep advocating that referees DO err from time to time but my message keeps getting lost somewhere. I look at matters from a referees perspective and post accordingly to give a degree of perspective but to many I am defending the decisions come what may, with "Defending the indefensible" in the forefronts of their minds. I see some decisions which are clearly wrong as proved on 'Slow-Mo' etc but often I can appreciate why the referee made his decision. Anyone looking in on HOL for the first time and not seeing all the relevant posts could be forgiven for thinking that I am advocating that a referee is NEVER wrong given the vitriol I receive on HOL for merely trying to explain why certain decisions were taken.
