We don't have to change the manager every year to implement it
The problem is that every year when it comes round to budgets , Pulis and Sam were not convinced there was enough there NOT to go through it again , so they decided to part with us .
Its not the way we play , its the fact that to improve we need better players
If we had better players the FDB experiment wouldn't have been such a disaster .
I don't like Simon Jordan but his analogy that it was like asking a one legged man to win the 100 meters is spot on ~ we just don't have that type of player
We have Tompkins and Dann , Not Stones and Ferdinand
We have Puncheon and Luka not Fabregas and Ozil
Gotta defend resiliently and get forward quickly , bypass midfield where possible and hope that Luka picks up the second or third ball and distribute again.
If we get Hodgson , we will be stable and more resilient
We just need points right now
As Sam said on the radio this morning , even if we went on a good run now it will be after january that we are comfortable mid table ~ and THATS why I wanted FDB sacked as soon as possible , because we are in real danger of going down .

I tend to agree that it might not be such a bad appointment as people think. Okay so England lost to Iceland we all know that but he was good enough to get the England managers job in the first place. We must give him a chance to show his worth and then judge him. He might be "old" as some have said but he has a wealth of experience and that surely must come into play. I am willing to give him the chance that he has been given and he might just prove the doubters wrong.

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky.

Great, another thread about the same thing and another ad for your own website.

Absolutely, Lets remember also that this england job was a poisoned chalice, he inherited an ageing england squad that needed a transition from old to young- bound to take time. I would certainly take him on

Then why are you advertising your own website on here?

As if there aren't enough ads on here, now the threads themselves are ads.

If you want to discuss ideas put them on here, not links to your own site so you get traffic

yep - we'd be wetting ourselves if we had got him in 2012. Only five years ago. He is a hit and miss manager but with more hits than misses. Could be a good appointment for two seasons even if we get relegated. That's if his heart last that long.

I think its horses for courses Hodgson is a defensive/counter attack manager ideal for a club whos expectations are sensible, no good for a top club who want attacking football, similar to Pulis, Alladyce. Coppell was great at a certain level. hopefully Hodgson can reinstall our quality's.

Bit harsh guys about the OP. I Dont mind links if they are interesting. The OP only looking for bit of feedback. Not crime of century is it?

But regarding feedback. Good on you for trying bit of writing but my only negative feedback is i learnt nothing new and that isnt well known if you read HOL threads regularly.

Would be great if you could source new thoughts, opinions, and said particularly quotes we not hear d anywhere else.

Maybe a few opinions of your own. Bit of critique?

And if you cant .... do what every other budding journalist does .... make up some sh*t 😀

Good first effort and hope feedback helps. Oh and not big fan of reading white text on black background
