I think your're right Willo. Problem is that our disastrous start is placing us at a disadvantage compared to currently more boyant rivals such as Stoke or WBA, who are likely to be the preferred choice of players like Burke or Wimmer who we have already missed out on ( and yes I am feeling down!)

Is there any evidence, and I don't include rumours in the press, that we were actually in for either of them?

If you come to a fork in the road, take it.

I think "Very good" might be over-stating the reality !
But I understand the sentiments.

Leaving aside the various arguments discussed on HOL regarding tactics, transfers etc etc maybe there are other issues behind the scenes.Don't know of the 'Chemistry' between FDB and the players and whether he he has 'Lost' the dressing room etc etc - I've not heard of any such issues.

Also I accept a picture doesn't always tell the whole story but I have seen shots whereby FDB is in conversation with Trustfull with Lee seemingly not involved. In a picture on Saturday, FDB is sitting next to Trustfull with Lee standing up at the end of the dugout away from them. Not sure of the 'Chemistry' between all three of them.

Is FDB happy at the club ? Has he regretted coming ?
Will he decide to step down ?

Just some other issues for consideration !

Personally I think all of this hysteria from fans and the media is just a storm a teacup.

The board will back De Boer this week. There'll be a little more strength in depth, some more work on the training ground and the more time he has the more things will improve.

De Boer has continually acknowledged the supporters and he has been let down by us.

McArthur's comments didn't actually scream of a dressing room revolt as reported.

Complete nonsense ... the team have been ill prepared and wrongly set up for both games I've seen live. Who is responsible for that? Certainly not me or you. Both sides were potentially those we would expect to fight it out with at the bottom of the league this season. The games were not entertaining and we looked $hite. FDB can get on the bus back to Holland as far as I'm concerned and let Sammy Lee organise the football.

Well contrary to what the media says, the dressing room believes that is not the case......

Too many fans think they are playing Football Manager and think they know better.

Supporters just pay to watch football and support their team. They are also entitled to an opinion and I don't think I've read anything unfair on here. Unfortunately, results do not lie.

Really? Support their team? The abuse I read on Franks Instagram account after the Huddersfield game is the complete opposite of support. Booing the team at Selhurst who are trying their best to adapt to a completely new system whilst consciously undermining any attempt of success within it is the complete opposite of support. Writing off a manager after 3 PL games who has showed the fans respect in his interviews, adapted his system against Liverpool to be more defensive and also doing his best to make us a better club is the complete opposite of support. "Having an opinion" as you put it is your right as a paying fan, but don't give me the bollox that you're a supporter when you seek nothing but to use your opinion to completely undermine the attempt of progress after 3 premier league games. That is different to an opinion and it does nothing but diminish our prospects of any success even further and that is, again, the complete opposite of "support".

I'm all for giving players and managers a chance, but, I knew this wouldn't work. I'm not saying that FdB is a bad manager, but to come to a club and a team that is only set up for quick counter and long ball and think you can turn us into Barcelona is folly.
I like Steve Parish and he does have the best interests of the club at heart, but, he as with so many deluded owners, the West Ham jokers spring to mind, have fallen for this beautiful football crap. I'm not a season ticket holder but went to the Spurs game at home where we lost 3-1 in the end at home. We fought and had some chances, but lost. Even when 3-1 down the stadium was buzzing and singing.
We need a manager that gets the best out of our players. Pulis was brilliant and the biggest mistake Parish made in not keeping him. Sam was great. I would like to see Hodgson and maybe Moyes or Dyche after him. That's what we are, why not accept it?
