We've lost our championship status and changed it to a premiership one, we've got a hugely improved playing squad and ONE if not the best home atmosphere in the premiership.

Well, if we cant shift the deadwood, we cant afford to buy new can we....remember Mutch sako chung are all on 40-50k a week, a not inconsiderable amount of money.....unlike Mr Corbyn Palace havent got a money tree, and have to comply with FFP so what do you suggest?

Thank goodness for the HF and their constant positive vibe. When it comes down to it we have a strong first team that should improve when a manager sorts out how to play them. No real weak link, even Hennessy is usually OK with a decent defence. No strength in depth so we are on a shoe string, here's hoping for few injuries, Fans say judge after the transfer window. Well we haven't done enough 3 players short imo. Gk, winger and striker. My other post is a fair point about the scouting. We can't expect to give Liverpool 25m every season. We need to find them gems in different leagues and not just rely on the English market.

Yes, the training ground is currently too small to accommodate both the first team and the academy; Parish has tried to buy Goals but the owner doesn't want to sell so part has been leased for the academy to train there. If the owner doesn't want to sell, what's Parish supposed to do, put a horse's head in his bed? It must be funny living in your world, where everything you wish for comes true exactly when you want it! Get real mate, your whining and moaning becomes awfully tiresome after a while.

I'm making fair points, too many parish saved the club on here.

We have picked up some bargains, but inevitably some don't work out like Mutch, Chungy, Sako and Benteke Jr. In the other leagues this is not such a problem cos the wages are more realistic. In the prem you get stuck with these as you have to pay stupid wages to them and when they prove to be championship class, no championship team can afford them.

It is not for us to come up with alternative to SP that is the job of the board, they should as part of their on going responsibility review the clubs performance year on year and see what progress we are making which during our latest spell in the PL clearly shows that we are not doing very well. This is a results business, the income stream relies very much on remaining in PL and goes once we slip back in to the championship. The number of Managers we have had is a weak point and will add to the problem as we lose consistency and players do no like coming to clubs with an unstable management record. SP has to be accountable for this and some of our sick players who have come in at great cost to the club and then spend most of the time not available, couple this with our poor home record over the period and it all points to a problem in the clubs leadership and guess who is responsible for that?
