Can we just have less of the dithering please Steve?

I'd like us to get someone in within 2 weeks rather than it take 2 months with us having signed nobody and other clubs hovering over our 15 decent players.

That would be my worry. A new manager needs to assess what we need in his own mind, go out and get those players. If we're still dithering in the next 3/4/5 weeks we'll be playing catch up.

I'm hopeful (not confident) SP will make a swift appointment and has started the ball rolling.

What's Michael Laudrup up to? He's been there, done that. A low-risk choice and a bit of a step-up on the vast majority of managers we have had over the last 15 or so years.

We need someone that puts focus on having a strong spine to the team, maintains the defensive solidity but keeps out pacy attacking threat. I don't want to see someone who wants to play open and expansive football and sacrifices the defensive and fitness side of the game.

Why would we want a manager that got relegated with Hull. I think we can find better. Coleman, Raneri, Mancini, Brendan Rodgers....

I can make up stories too and get some right, not difficult. Report's suggest that he is done with management and wanted to finish on a high and nothing to do with Defoe anyway. Silva is in talks with Porto which you should have checked first as well before having to backtrack on that point. At least you're entertaining

Wash your mouth out! And please don't doubt me again. Some my sources get right, some they don't.

For what it's worth my gut feeling is he'll go to Porto.

Coleman? He can't be a serious contender? Gareth Bale must have a bad back having had coleman riding on it for the last few years.

Craig Shakespeare, worked with Sammy Lee and Sam in the England set up and with Leicester dithering we could make a cheeky approach.

Palace hoping to persuade him to move to South London. Good that Parish is moving quickly. Palace might be an attractive option in that there are a lot of good players at Palace now with the new arrivals in January, potentially a top 10 club

If Coleman qualifies as a better manager, then I'm a cave troll's uncle.
