I am seriously worried about not having appointed a manager yet; not a lot of transfer deals have been announced yet in the Prem but now is the time that all the hard graft is put in sweet-talking your targets and negotiating the deals. The longer we don't have a manager the higher the chance of getting off to a bad start and the next minute it's Christmas. Just saying...

Ffs........really?
I want him to get this appointment right, rather than find ourselves in this position again in December.
If a candidate is not prepared to wait then he obviously doesn't want the job and will jump ship when something better comes along.
Have some patience.

We will not be signing many players.
Steve will get us a Manager to continue the progress of our club.
The New Manager needs to get the players to perform how they did for Sam.
We will be fine 13th position finish.

If we do not strengthen the squad then, instead of flirting with relegation, we may well see ourselves go through the trapdoor this time. No manager worth his salt is going to come to us, one of the less attractive clubs in the PL, without at least a workable transfer budget. We've no room for manoeuvre currently to deal with injuries and the released players have worsened that. To ask a new manager to do what Sam did, with less to work with, is asking the impossible.

It will be 2 players max, until Jan. We will be bringing some youth players into the squad.
It's a harder job keeping Brighton up.

Marco Silva nearly achieved this. Nearly, I know. But whoever comes in will have more time. Personally I agree with the need to strengthen, but I also hope that SP will ensure that the Manager who joins us will be purchasing players we need and who fit, rather than Champaign signings that make everybody feel good.

If we have relevant targets who are targeted on fit and merit to the team, but we only get say one or two out of four or five targets, then fine, we can chase the other later. Less is more so to speak.

Agreed we strengthen the squad.
That does not mean signing shed loads of players like we did in the Promotion season (Holloway).
Or signing Mutch and Lee (Pardew). Both still on the books.
Sams January window was brilliant.
PVA,Schlupp,Luca and Sakho on loan.
All 4 into the first team.
The new Manager needs to get the best out of the current squad.
Just like the eleven Managers at Chelsea in the last ten years.
Steady improvement to the TEAM.

Still not seen anyone on here willing to stump multi millions to have a go. Disturbing that there are still so many knockers of Parish et al. Fella and his pals have given us our best days so far by a country mile.

I refuse to believe there are that many people out there that can't spell. Too f**king lazy, that's what I think.

It would be 2 players if Sakho included in the 2.

As he probably won't be, it'll be 4 or 5 I reckon. Well 3 or 4 paid for transfers and the usual frees or loans.

What bollox

If a manager is not prepared to turn down jobs in the hope he might get the Palace job, or not, he's not worth bothering with? Really?

Get in the real world. How many jobs have you turned down for that job you might get, or might not, leaving you jobless?
