I've watched football over the last five decades and in Jacko's day it was played by fatter, slower, less athletic men with a heavy ball that couldn't be launched. Great as a spectacle but technically and athletically inferior to today's game.

To say that Jules "shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath" after 13 years, four player of the year awards etc. etc is nonsense.

How is this a dig at Julian ? John Jackson was an exceptional keeper for CPFC in the top flight of English football. The only other Palace keeper in my time I would mention in the same breath is Nigel Martyn.

Julian was a good servant for CPFC when we had no money in the championship, and still is as backup.

You are just another Julian fan who constantly look for arguments and ways to slag off his replacement because he replaced him , even when his replacement is not even mentioned in the post .

It was a stroke of potential genius. Pulls brought him in and Jules realised his place was under threat, played out of his skin. Pulls acknowledged this and made a public statement that the pressure from Hennessy made him so good.

Pardew's signings... Well... Less said the better apart from Cabaye and Tekkers. He stated 'Mandanda could be the signing of the season!...'

Statistics state he was not as good in goal as Hennessey. More to the point, the two Sam's didn't either.

The Hennessey bashing obsession is awful. Ashley Williams has publicly stated he is phenomenal and world class. Has anybody watched the match when he played for Wales about 2 years ago? He was man of the match and was literally world class when second fiddle to Jules.

Mandanda was not great and was barely good. Wayne has to do better. That said he was brilliant against Chelsea. Apparently he knows he is not popular with the fans. How does that help? Brentmeister you are stalking him publicly with issues?
