I've just seen tis article in today's express - the first pictures of the young man - supposedly beaten to within an inch of his life according to all the first reports. So, how do you explain that 4 days on, there is no visible swelling to his face nor any signs of the major bruising that you would expect after such a brutal beating apparent on his arms? One possible answer is that the photo was taken earlier so the bruising hasn't yet developed, but swelling occurs almost instantly, and certainly within an hour. Or an I just being cynical about some of the reporting of this?. Possibly because the near fatal injury was an internal bleed into the brain.

The attack took place and it was nasty according to the witnesses so far but if the media have exaggerated it - of course they have - it doesn't sound like it has been by too much. Yes, indeed he looks very dark around the eyelids - which would imply that there were blows to the face and head - so where is the swelling that would normally accompany this? Also, even if the main beating was to the body, wouldn't he have used his arms to protect either his body and/or his face, and thus also been bruised? I'm not saying that it wasn't a nasty beating, but the photos do not seem to bear out the severity that was reported.

I read in one paper that the guy was in the pub and was having a ruckus with some other people and it spilled out onto the street and he was not stood at a bus stop minding his own business as was previously reported. It shows how different news outlets have a different idea to what we have been told? I'm interested what paper was it in

Surely Private Frazer is more appropriate for Kermit, what with his solid Scottish roots?

I think you're being cynical the attack left him unconscious, with a fractured skull and spine and a blood clot on the brain And you know all this with 100% accuracy of certainty do you? Or... like the rest of us... you are relying upon "information" supplied by the Media based upon hearsay and misinterpretation probably. Or were you one of the Ambulance crew first at the scene?

Or were you one of the Ambulance crew first at the scene? Yeah you're right. Unless you're there to witness something first hand it didn't happen. You can't believe anything the media says. In fact you can't even believe the ambulance crew who are second on the scene. The injuries sustained where given in evidence by the Prosecution in Croydon Magistrates Court on 3 April. I don't think the evidence relating to his injuries in this case is based on hearsay and misinterpretation probably.

I'm interested what paper was it in I think it was the Express as I was in the dentist waiting room when I read it. Cant be sure though but there was short article on how the fight started in the pub and the three lads ran out to the bus stop followed by the gang but two escaped and left their mate to get kicked in so the article said.
Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky. |
