I'm more offended with men taking their shirts off.

I have no problem with pyro so long as they accept the consequences if/when caught. We have had away fans set them off at Selhurst without any great fuss.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

That's fine as long as you don't want to see what's happening on the pitch

It seems the police have not given up yet and are after even more Palace supporters.

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky.

You may claim that "It’s always the same couple of Stripey Nigels on here that can't wait to take a dig at the more exuberant supporters (and the HF in particular) for anything and everything that they personally don't like or agree with" completely disregarding the fact that it is against the law to take a firework, flare or smoke bomb into a football ground and anyone caught doing so could be liable to a punishment up to three months in prison.

You can assume that people who like to abide by the laws of the land are seeking some "validation of an otherwise disappointing existence" but the truth that we prefer not to break the law or praise those that do so is far more mundane.

Finally no-one here is "criminalising the youth for being young" as there is a huge difference between being young and breaking the law, a difference that you don't seem to understand

Wow. Spectacular. Possibly the single most stupid reply to any post I've read on this site. You're the perfect example of someone who lets their prejudice and arrogance get in the way of anything approaching rational thought.

I would obviously be wasting my time trying to explain how you have chosen to miss any point I make, it will go over your head. Wallop Nigel, in your self-righteousness. I genuinely pity you.

Serious question. Are the flares let off to add to the atmosphere, or because it's fun to sneak then in and do something 'naughty'. Not bothered either way, just curious.

Laws are made to be broken. If not we would live in a really mundane existence.
There are many ridiculous laws out there which need to be addressed. Those who follow without questioning need reassessment or visit north Korea

You actually do believe that don't you?

so it's okay to pick and choose which laws you do and don't abide by?
OK, I like the TV you have in your house, I'm going to disregard the law, break in to your house and take anything I like the look of. It's OK, cos I don't agree with the law regarding breaking and entering and I want your TV.

And once you've broken in I'm going to move in and change the locks, because I disagree with the laws on property ownership.
