So it's all Hennessey's fault ????

This.

If he'd cleared the ball effectively first, then we wouldnt have been debating a foul as the ball would have been in the arthur wait.

He has no conviction nor dominance and we can all (bar two or three) see it. That first attempt on goal should have been out of the park, yet we ALL knew what was coming, weak clearance, fumble, goal.

That set us up for "oh no, not again". doesn't matter how good or bad the rest were, that was what kicked the team in the nuts to start with.

We were quick enough to ride AM out of the starting 11 when he made a series of mistakes. Shame we didn't apply/haven't applied the same here.

Even the news article on the front page of this site has him on it above the words "Abysmal Palace are hammered". not a coincidence surely?

I agree with your sentiments about doing everything you have got to keeping a goal out, but having only one player doing it doesn't help. The defenders we have are taking the piss, with the possible exception of Delaney and he has been poor of late, are the like a punch of wet lettuce, turning their backs like little girls when the ball come near them.
I remember old Clint Hill, not much talent, but a player had to fight to get past him, today's players not fit to lace his boots, this is why we are going down, not just because of Hennessy.

We could have had Buffon at his best on Saturday and we would still have lost. Possibly only 2-0.

I've said for a very long time that Hennessey is not good enough to be a PL keeper. He has been inconsistent throughout his career and some of the basic goalkeeping errors he makes in games (many which don't lead to goals) is scary. AM was worse.

Speroni is not the answer to our problems, not long term anyway, and I am not sure how he would have dealt with the first goal (hardly his strong point).

I'd say we have the worst goalkeeping options in the PL. It would be a problem if we were losing 1-0 or drawing games - when you are losing 4-0 at home to the bottom of the table team then it isn't just the GK that is the issue.

Next question?

Anyway, this isn't about him it's about how s*** Hennessey is. You can't see that either though.

That can be applied to lots of players. The issue is he wasn't replaced. Jedi like Souare gets better the longer it is since he played.

As for my view on Hennessey you clearly haven't been paying attention

Still going at Rangers. Granted a Championship level club in a poor league, but still playing.

Liverpool have Karius, currently backup to Mignolet and he has been pretty dire.
And there are those who are critical of Mignolet.

When do you mean? The only time the ball came to him was when it was effectively knocked out of his hands by Jones' challenge. As for the front page article on this site - hardly evidence that would stand up in a court of law. So all 'bar two or three' can see the problem - why then have successive managers kept him in and not brought back 'crowd favourite' Speroni, or do the managers know less than you?

cpj I am convinced that you are Hennessy himself trying to cover up all your s***e performances the way you still insist you are a great Keeper. Best BFS sells you fast very fast!!

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky.

If Speroni isn't ready to play or considered good enough, he wouldn't be on the bench.
Whether WH could of saved the others is debatable, but the first one is the one that does the damage. Hennessey just never pulls out those 'How did he save that?' saves when you really need it. Jules has that knack.
Against Utd, Everton and Swansea we lost three points to late goals and none of them were unsaveable IMO.

According to former ref Graham Poll it was a foul on Hennessey, yet no Palace player appealed. Once again not got the balls to stand up for ourselves.
To rub salt in he said that the Larsson challenge was the most blatant second yellow you can get. The away fans in that position definitely sway the officials IMO.
Being let down by weak officials is a weekly think now. Surely no one's had more game changing decisions go against them this season..
