I do go to church actually, sometimes twice a week, ...and I think you will find that the leaders of this country would consider this a christian country although I know the secularists, humanists, atheists are growing in their calls to abolish the Christmas and Easter holidays and associated traditions e.g nativity plays etc Fair play to you Johny, but I think Stirling refers to the lack of numbers attending church these days as an indicator of us not really being Christian anymore? I've just seen Stirling's reply and he was referring to numbers at Church. It really is one man and his dog plus organ at most churches these days..... Jezza says we should aim to negotiate peace in Syria. What's wrong with that.

I'd actually be more than happy for Corbyn to go over to Syria for a sit down chat with IS. He should take them a bottle of wine though, just so they know he comes in peace.

God knows what the percent is that actually truly believes Jesus was the son of God. That's what marks someone out as a Christian and in truth I doubt that's fifty percent of the nation as those figures suggest.

I can only speak for myself to say that the in the church I go to on Sunday it is sometimes difficult to get a seat, full of kids, families, older people and some WUM's apparently! (haha!). Wednesday's and fridays are full of older people but younger people are generally at work, school or dont have the time. And you dont have to be the greatest believer (which includes me) to contribute to the community side of the church, helping kids, charities, old people, refugees etc.

I still find it absolutely amazing that in the year 2016 there are grown adults who live an otherwise normal existence, who believe that a couple of penguins who were designed to spend 90 percent of their lives in the water waddled all the way from the frozen wastes of the North to the deserts of ancient Nazareth (or wherever ) just to get on a boat with a bloke with a beard because it was going to flood ? In the words of Catherine Tates Nan. Whadddda looooad of old Shhhhhhhh1ttttt

I believe there were other ancient civilisations that talked about a deluge in antiquity. Whether it's the same one, who knows.

From the article... Mr Corbyn, who was elected Labour leader in September, did not go as far as suggesting the Government should open a "dialogue" with the militants. But he added: "I think there has to be some understanding of where their strong points are, where their weak points are, where we can challenge their ideology. What's your point Lily? Are you highlighting how newspapers make up half truth or bs headlines?
