I would expect us to start the season with 4 strikers. So if Gayle goes then I think we will look to bring in two. I would also say I think given how thin the squad is up front that we'd be right to be concerned if at least one of those isn't recruited by the middle of July, rather than waiting until August. They will need some element of pre-season and integration. Plus we all know Wickham will be injured within a week of the season starting.

Surely this is a done deal, being offered at 1/5 odds which is the best odds for any transfer regarding any player to any team. with Benteke close behind at 1/4, can we get a double swoop by the weekend? oh be still my beating heart!

Would be delighted with this signing - perfect fit for us! Hard working, energetic, good crosser, good at dead ball situations and has real quality.
