£5-6m for a player who has not proved his is up to the Premier League is way over the top, Rudy Gestede's market value is £1.5m if Blackburn can get double that their lucky they should take the money and run. Scoring 32 goals in 101 Championship matches does not make you a top Premier striker, for example Murrays 31 goals in 48 league and cup games season 12-13 didn't propel him to the £5-6m value in fact not even half that, but his achievement far outways what Rudy Gestede has done at Blackburn, plus he's not even the top scorer in the Championship, Cameron Jerome(remember him) has more goals than him, and last season he could not hit a cows butt with a banjo.

Personally, I think Muzza deserves to stay and I believe he and Gayle are a good strike pair upfront. If we sell Muzza, and Reading, who are cash strapped too, buy him for say £2-3m, then this is probably good business. Hungry 26 year old striker in form (albeit in Championship) with sell on value, against 31 year old, with limited sell on value after 2016. Heart says Muzza, head says Gestede. Very sad for me but PL survival is top priority. COYP.

Gayle needs a big man to play off and there was the possibility that Murray was going to be that man, hence AP comments about extending his contract a few weeks ago. It seems to me something happened behind the scenes as if AP hadn't wanted Mussa he would not have played him at Dover thus preventing selling him to anyone but Reading. According to the papers at one stage Blackburn were interested and thus the move for Gestede may have been easier. There also seems to be some pressure being placed on us by Blackburn Gestede is not cup tied, his value to us may drop if they play him Sat Edited by Palace in the Blood (22 Jan 2015 10.14am)

I wonder what the Dutch translation for that phrase is?

I wonder what the Dutch translation for that phrase is? Een koeien kont raken niet met een banjo Close but actually in true Dutch that will be said and written as "vorig seizoen kon hij een koeien kont niet eens raken met een banjo" but 10 out of 10 for being able to use Google Translate.

Crystal Palace struggling in striker deal after baulking at £6million price tag: If this is true then it's just getting silly now; I'd be inclined to tell Blackburn to stuff it.

Keep Murray. Offer them £4m and walk away. Murray and Gayle will produce goals like Barnes and Ings have been for Burnely.
