Looking on Sky Sports, there is a brief mention of the first complaint and nothing since.

Palace have replied...

Very unlikely anyone at the club would send that sort of text.

Quite clearly it was tongue in cheek Bilks

So suppose the game is ordered to be replayed, Cardiff win and they stay up at the expense of, say, Fulham or Norwich. That alone will provoke a sh*tstorm of litigation. It's a road the FA just won't go down. These allegations only have legs if money changed hands at some stage and it can be proved so. It's a preposterous notion.

A desperate attempt by Tan to claw back some points and, frankly, it's doomed, like his club, to failure.

This is the point exactly, Caulker has already claimed that leaks have been happening all year at Cardiff. With relegation costing potentially £50-60 million the prem league are simple not going to want to make a difficult decision that will lead all sorts of claims and counter claims.

Cardiff have made a formal complaint now, to the Premier League saying they have concrete evidence about Iain Moody contacting staff about Cardiff's team.

If this is true (which I'm sure it's not) then what could the repercussions be for us? Just a fine or worse?

Here's a link that isn't by a trash newspaper...

Good ole BBC...

Cardiff are scum. And forever will be from now on in my eyes. This had better not turn out bad for Palace. Hope Cardiff go down and stay down.

Cardiff want to declare the 3-0 result null and void. So do they want a replay, share a point each or the FA award them the 3 points ?

Vincent Tan - this was in the Malaysian newspaper a few months back. If you read the readers' comments even the local Malaysians have no respect for him.

The BBC are clearly being fed information by someone at Cardiff. They've got hold of the 5-page letter Cardiff sent to the PL which is quoted extensively in that report.

The BBC report contradicts itself though:

"They also claim Palace have breached the Football Association's rules by bringing the game into disrepute, although at this stage Cardiff have not lodged a formal complaint with the FA."

"The Premier League have confirmed they have received a formal complaint from Cardiff and are currently assessing the evidence to see if there is a case to answer."

The BBC report also says:

"They [the PL] are understood to be treating the complaint seriously although they believe any inquiry would focus on the conduct of the two clubs and their staff, rather than a wider investigation into the integrity of the match.

Even if a team knows how their opponents will line up, it is debatable how much influence that may have on the eventual outcome of the match."

So even if they find CPFC have broken the rules it's unlikely they'll change the outcome of the game or deduct points. Maybe a slap on the wrist and a fine if anything would be all they impose.

After this I detest Tan even more than I did already. I hope they go down and stay down and this sorry episode is seen as it is - a desperate action by a spoilt megalomaniac who's used to getting his own way.

I know that nothing will probably come from this but as its palace you never know. Its just such a shame that this is hanging over us on probably our greatest achievement in my lifetime. Its stopping me enjoying the season as im worried we are going smacked with a deduction and still go down.

Well, we already knew that Cardiff were good at feeding information; looks like nothing's changed Seriously though, what an extraordinarily unprofessional way to conduct a business.
