Bournemouth fan here - in peace. Howe would be a brilliant manager for you. He is a class act, for the reasons stated earlier....
However he does have a track record of expressing interest in jobs (Peterboro and Southampton) and then turning them down when offered - just seeing what he is worth. He may be doing the same now...

****ing well hope so!!!

Hi thanks for the information. I think our job could be much more attractive to Howe ( well I hope so as I would love him here) as I think the fact that our owners have the resources for him, will run the club at a suistanable level, are generally nice blokes and will give him time. Southampton on the other hand seem like they have a lot of unpredictibility. Also from what Ive been reading isnt he annnoyed with how your chairman is selling players under his nose?

You're welcome here mate - we know the feeling of when your manager is linked with all sorts, it's a great feeling when he turns them down!

We all hope he'll take the bait this time, but completely understand how you'd feel. It's sh*t when it happens but unfortunately part of the game nowadays.

Maybe he'll turn us down as well...we'll see. One way or the other one of us will be happy

Cant say howe lacks experience, he kept bournemouth up with a point deduction and transfer embargo...

Yes you can...he's had just two years in charge of one small club

Has no really experience of finding and hiring talent or nurturing young players. We don't know what he will be like under a difficult run of results, with a bunch of unforgiving fans

A very risky move...unless fans are prepared to be patient

Looks that way: Pitman to Bristol City and McQuoid to Millwall.
i expect he would want to bring a few Bournemouth players with him - Pugh the left winger and Bartley in midfield, spring to mind.

"Recent reports have linked the young manager with the vaacant crystal palace job following the departure of George Burley on January 1st 2011. Howe is favourite to become the Eagles new manager with the age and experience of Palace legend Steve Coppel llikely to become Director of Football. Many pundits are already touting this as a masterstroke by the palace board and believe this will be a partnership that will flourish for the rest of the season and beyond"

Wikipeia.....we'll see, i hope so

He's actually had more experience than you'd think in finding talent - and it's much more difficult when you're trying to spot them in non-league because that's all you can afford. Re. nurturing young players - see Brett Pitman and Josh McQuoid, both homegrown - Brett particularly had a massive turnaround in attitude under Eddie.

The only thing he doesn't have experience of is unforgiving fans as he's always had all the support in the world from us.

My gut feeling is that he'll turn us down because he still has unfinished business at Bournemouth. In the play offs and a possible shot at the Championship.

I do agree with you. However perhaps he feels if his best players are going to be sold under his nose, then there is not much more he can do there? We will see. Fingers crossed.
