Way to miss the point. Border checkpoints and checks etc could re-ignite violence. I think I will believe former heads of the Northern Irish Police Service and MI5, along with the Taoiseach, over you, Hrolf. It is possible, just possible, multiple former heads of the Northern Irish Police Service and MI5, along with Leo Varadkar, know ever so slightly more about what this border may do to peace in Ireland, ahead of you, Hrolf. Hard to believe I know, but I think they might know ever so slightly more about it than you do. Yep, and you would therefore be aware that the IRA was infiltrated with agents. I do know that people say a lot of stuff when they want to scaremonger.

I would prefer a deal but unless the EU are willing to negotiate we must leave without one. The question of a hard border becomes the problem of the Irish and the EU it's not an issue for the UK government. They keep talking about terrorism when this is really about trade. The UK will not implement a hard border so the question you have to ask is why would the Irish and the EU? I don't think they will either. Most check can be carried remotely maybe some things slide but then they do today.

Firstly regarding the 2 lines above, I am literally completely unaware of how what you wrote here remotely relates to what I said above. Secondaly, here we see the world as it is today for Brexit fan. If anyone, anywhere in the world, at any time, for any reason opines that brexit/a no deal crash out of the EU would be BAD, it is left wing MSM fake news/project fear/scaremongering. I wonder if they take this approach into their private lives? If you get turned over for a promotion at work, its a left wing conspiracy, right? Its not because there was a better alternative, that would be fake news. If a bird s***s on you, it was a left wing bird, and it intends to smear your good name and embarrass you. Its not just something happening that has happened for many years. If you decide to put your life savings on Paul Merson coming out of retirement and winning the ballon d'or, if someone tells you that is an utterly s*** idea, they are scaremongering you with project fear tactics. Merse is coming back to the top!

If Northern Ireland stays closely aligned to the Republic of Ireland in terms of trade etc then the border is moved into the sea between England and Ireland. This is called the backstop. That is very much an issue for the UK government isn't it, because it threatens the Union and creates a border between England and Northern Ireland. "They keep talking about terrorism when its about trade". Its about both. Must be fake news/project fear when multiple former MI5 officers and NI police come out and state it could have devastating results to the peace process. "Most check can be carried remotely maybe some things slide but then they do today." ????? Is he talking about border checks? Is this the mythical "alternative arrangement" that is so mythical and magical that no one can actually say what it is/what technology it requires?

Norway is part of the EEA and therefore has access to the EU single market. If we crash out of the EU on Oct 31st, the UK will certainly not be a part of the EEA and will certainly not have access to the single market. Leaving the single market was what people voted for. Nice try, but you might want to check these things out a bit before you post them.

Leaving the EEA, single market and customer unions whilst also simultaneously terminating every known trading agreement and losing access to shared policing and security data sounds a bit "crashy" to me.

This is like listening to James O Brien and his "callers". What electronic checking is that then? Perhaps the kind that the expert report mentioned in the above article described in the following manner: The report is cool on the suggestion that electronic monitoring of the Border could be a substitute for checks. “Although the Border does not have any customs posts, there is some surveillance of vehicle movements. The authorities are thus able to track cars, trucks, etc in their journey along and across the Border. However, this surveillance is for security purposes,” it says. “In practice, effective implementation of the objectives articulated in the customs authority’s mission can only be achieved by conducting inspections based on risk-analysis methods, which includes random checks. “Furthermore, the existing security-based surveillance infrastructure would have to be repurposed for customs. Aside from the issue of whether such repurposing is technically feasible in the light of the situation under a no-deal scenario, there is the issue of whether it would be politically acceptable, including amongst the population living along the Border,” it says. So, in conclusion, what the actual f*** are you going on about?

Alot of countries are giving us the same trade agreement that they already have with the eu, South Korea being the latest hardly crashing. If the EU don't want to share security says more about them then us as we are willing to....No a fan of Chang more of a Leo person. So what do you reckon you'll lose out on once the UK has left? I know alot of Asian people who never had issues getting work Visa and tourist Visa for the shengen visa. Now open a bud light and chill stop believing all the s*** that gets spouted by people who want to remain!
