Possibly our worst signing ever? Not in terms of quality as such, but quality v outlay. Plus the fact that he's hamstrung us with his high wages (not his fault in fairness) and apparently turned down a move away, to China.

Just watched the full highlights of the Everton game, only just had a chance. HOW MANY MORE CHANCES will we give this guy. Lacklustre, standoffish waster. Doesn’t get at the defence, purposely holds back. Have heard people say Wickham looks unfit, at least he goes for the second ball and has a bit of aggression about him. Benteke is a wet flannel. Get so angry watching him and I just want him to bigger off so I don’t have to anymore. Just chuck the kids on, what we have isn’t and hasn’t been working for so long, why not try something else. One dimensional hodgson.

Our current set up is just bad for Benteke. With left footed Townsend on the right and right footed Zaha on the left we don't cross many balls into the box. When Wilf goes it'll be interesting to try Andros on the left, Camarasa, or Meyer, on the right and start firing balls in for Tekkers to header.

Problem was that he was very isolated at times with his strike partner Zaha often a long way from him so they never played together as a pair.At the start of the second half a lofted ball was played up to him when he was down the right, there was nobody next to him at all and Zaha was out on the other flank. A horror show from us today.
